Okay so I've been looking through the forum for any discussion about hair fall in the shower and what is, and what isn't normal. I found a few but nothing really satisfied my worries or really given me much information as to what should be expected. Some people say 10 hairs are normal, some say 10 hairs are too much, others say it ranges and you can lose 100 in one shower if you havent washed your hair for a few days.

Earlier today I counted how many hairs were on my hand after shampooing (my last shower was 36 hours ago), I counted two. After I washed my hair I ran my fingers through it sort of roughly for about two minutes and counted how many stuck to my fingers, terrified, I counted 28. If I hadn't ran my fingers through my hair and got out of the shower I wouldve only noticed maybe 5 hairs shed. I also took note of lost hairs while I was blowdrying and styling, I counted maybe 3.

My quesiton is whether or not this is normal for someone who uses a lot of moose, a bit of hairspray and barely brushes their hair throughout the day? I read that hairs can clump together if you use styling products, and I also tend to tossel my hair a lot int he run of one day.

Then there is the question of breakage. I noticed the vast majority of the hairs I counted in the shower didn't have the blub at the end and looked more like broken hairs than shedded hairs. I also have very fine hair and I know that your hair is weakest when its wet, was the act of running my fingers through my hair over-and-over again causing my hair to break?

I know there isn't really one answer and counting hairs shed in the shower is an imperfect way of telling whether or whether not you have hair loss, but I can't help but worry and wonder if this is normal.

i don't know i range from 20 to 40...sometimes less rarely more.

I only got more than that when i shed from Minoxidil in beginning.

I also used to shed hair that was short-cycling (thankfully this stopped)
