Do you also take v**** in case your knob stops working one day?

your comparing apples and oranges. Its pretty much a fact that keeping the hair you already have is easier than growing it back once its gone, and even if it does grow back it wont be sufficient enough to make a drastic difference.

A DOCTOR himself told me that my idea was a good one, and for 6 years, not even a slight change to my hair, my hairline is the same, and the rest of my head is full of thick full hair. so how can you argue with that?

dude seriously, you sound a little bitter, its not a good look =)

Well I'm sorry, but most doctors don't know sh*t about hair loss. And a doctor who prescribes a medication for you that you don't need, well, that should raise a red flag.

Wouldn't it be easier to just monitor your hair, and then get on the medication at the first sign of baldness/miniaturization occuring?

But hey, whatever works for ya. Finasteride is not a completely safe drug, but if you've tolerated it well then I guess you're among the lucky ones, so far at least. I still think it's stupid though.

If you've been on the drug for 6 years, and clearly have no signs whatsoever of male pattern baldness, then I don't really know why you're here. Classic case of overreaction.

let me ask you a question, for the last 6 years, if i wasn't on finasteride, do you think i could still have all my hair? You dont attribute anything to it?

You might be right, i am paranoid about losing my hair. I dont even ever want to get to the point where i start losing it, just a little bit.

That's impossible for me to say, but the point is that you shouldn't get on any drug before you need to. Drugs are not completely harmless.

what about rogaine, can i use that as a prevention method? they advertise it as a way of "keeping the hair you have" or "use it or lose it"

would that be safer?

No, Rogaine is the last thing you wanna try, because it causes shedding. Plus, it's considered a growth stimulant, and you don't have anything to regrow.

You know what, you've been on finasteride for so long I'd say you should just stick with it if you're not experiencing any side effects. You never should've began taking it in the first place, but what's done is done, and there's no reason to risk it by going off it.

Just keep taking finasteride if it makes you feel better. No need for anything else.

bro that doctor was a f*****g QUACK for saying you should get on finasteride before any male pattern baldness.

whats the big deal about waiting until you develop hairloss to start drugs? Its like you might lose 1/4 of an inch of your hairline or whatever before you take meds, it wont f*****g kill you right? What i mean is that you wont go slick bald within a months timeframe, so this taking propecia as a precautionary mesaure is f*****g nuts. Propecia can be heavy sh*t for some people.

No offense but you are 100% paranoid..

Only hurt in taking finasteride is sides and money though, imo. keep taking them if it makes you feel better.

If I were you, Which I ain't, I'm pretty badly balding, I would go with your original hairline and stop cutting your hairline fake like that, i just think you would look better, and much more, "real."
