Question about Nizoral and conditioning

Hey!

I'm fairly new here, but I've lurked around here for about a year now. I'm 22 y/o and noticed the start of my receding hairline around a year ago (hence me finding this site). For a while, I didn't do anything about it, denying that I was receding. Who wants to admit to himself that he's balding at 22, right? Luckily my receding has proven to be a very slow progress, and is impossible to tell when my hair is dry -- hell, wet too for most people. Nevertheless, little by little I'm losing ground, and I'll probably end up as a Norwood 5 (the scale my father is in) years from now (currently I'm starting to see a pattern indicating tht I'll be a Norwood 3 in a few years). So, in November last year, I really decided to do someting about it now that I'm still a Norwood 1.5 or 2.0. I ordered some Nizoral 2% shampoo in order to reduce inflammation (the itch was driving me crazy) and am planning to go on propecia as soon as I've reached six months of Nizoral-only.

The problem, however, is that Nizoral leaves my scalp very dry and my hair quite knotted. I didn't have these problems the first few months, even though I haven't changed anything about the schedule (Tuesdays and Fridays). I'm planning to use conditioner, but I'm not quite sure when I need to apply it. Since my hair becomes knotted directly after applying the shampoo, it seems to be smart to apply it directly after washing out the Nizoral shampoo, but I'm not quite sure if that negates the effect of the shampoo.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance!

By the way, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question, but I'm not quite sure where to put it otherwise.

nah, once the keto is absorbed into the scalp, following up with a conditioner wont take it out.

What I do is wash my hair with normal shampoo first.

Then rub the Nizoral shampoo into your scalp (don't need much) until you get a nice foam, and leave it like that for around 5 minutes. After this period the Nizoral should already be absorbed into the scalp skin.

After that, I put the conditioner straight into my hair without washing out the Nizoral. Leave it in for a few minutes, then wash it out too.

The leaflet that comes with the bottle says that the active ingredient in Nizoral should be present in the scalp at medicinal quantities for up to a week later. I use it twice a week myself.
