question about regrowth

does regrown hair acts like miniaturized hair but in reverse?
I mean do they start as tiny vellus hairs THEN SHED then regrow stronger, then shed again then regrow as terminals?

does regrown hair have shed phases before it regrows as terminal?

It's a hair cycle. Regrown hairs grow longer with each cycle until hopefully, they turn terminal again. But that rarely happens.

I think I have a patch of hairs on my hairline that are not terminals but seem stronger and fuller everytime I look at them.

cant be that rare with all the success stories in the success section

Hair at the crown that is only just thinning is much more likely to see terminal hairs sprout back up in that area than the hairline. The hairline rarely gets much regrowth sans a few vellus hairs because the follicles have been inactive for too long to create terminal hairs again. In rare cases, like the God of hair regrowth "zeroheat", get on treatment very early and see wonderful regrowth, but that's very rare. I've come to accept the fact that I'll need a hair transplant at some point in the future if I want to get back to NW2 because I've been treating for nearly 9 months now, and basically have no regrowth at the hairline or temples. My hair in the back seems to be getting a little thicker, but that's it.

Im not anywhere close to 9 months, more like 3, and already seeing a batch of hairs in my left corner, and a layer of vellus hairs beneath that.
I am thinking about adding dermarolling.

I'm a nw2 and im getting terminal hairs growing in at my hairline corners 10 months on finasteride, this hair was lost in the last year don't know if that makes a difference. More and more just keep coming in... If it continues, at this rate, I may have my pre-male pattern baldness nw1 hairline back... woop
