Question: Finasteride Or Not Worth It?

I am pretty set on getting Finasteride to combat hair loss. However it seems to have many horror stories. I was wondering IF those effects are permanent or do they stop once the medication stops? (impotency, ED, etc)

Also IF you were to do a hair transplant, do you still need to take finasteride/Propecia or is that up to you?

the sides will go away once the medication stops in most cases. If you notice sides, quit

This is just me personally but I wouldn't do a hair transplant without some sort of antiandrogen. The transplanted hairs most likely won't fall out, but the hairs you still have behind it/in between the transplanted hairs will continue to fall without an antiandrogen

Ah, I see. How has finasteride worked for you w/ 1MG daily?

Sorry for the late reply, it's slowed down my hair loss massively by itself, and once I added RU it seems to have halted. no noticeable regrowth from finasteride though. Everyone is different though, some people are unaffected, some people shed even more, and some people regrow hair. Worth a shot though imo

I have an appointment with a derma next week to get some propecia/finasteride. I haven't done much research but is it hard to obtain RU? I'm not sure how bad mine is but my original post is here - https://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/intera...-baldness-or-cicatricial-alopecia-22m.101774/

Start out with finasteride/minoxidil and see how they do for you, and if you don't respond well or get finasteride sides you could look into RU. Not that hard to get RU, most people buy it from anageninc/kaneshop and you mix it in everclear(or any other grain alcohol)/pg.
