Question for Armani patients...

I kind of like the 50/50 chance. At least we have a fighting chance! You dont have a crystal ball either sweet cheeks.

As for ur tirade on Armani, the accusation of him acting in an unethical manner is mere speculation. Every case is different and no one knows what goes on between the patient and the MD so what u are saying is nothing more than the urban legend created by some posters on these boards, most notably the most political on the net...Hair loss help. There is a strong HW contigent there that bashed Armani there b/c HW is sponsored on that board. Gee how gratuitous.

If the strip is taken in the safe zone there will be more hair for future procedures but to call out a Doctor on mere specualtion is utterly inappropriate. You dont have all the facts. I think the way it was presented based on "giving the pt what he wants" is what is fueling your fire. I agree with you there b/c again just mere speculation.

Also, I think green tea and lots of soy products (either internally, topically, or both) will help because Japanese men seem to have alot less hair loss.

So I see you read docj077 posts.

Please be an adult, no need for stupid names.

What I would like for you to do is actually read my posts CLOSELY.

Please explain where I am bashing Armani? I merely stated some issues and advised taking a wait and see attitude. Read the Hippocratic Oath Dr.s take if you think they can simply "give" a patient what they want.
That is NOT pointed specifically at Dr. Armani, nor was it at any time in any of my earlier posts.

Again you keep referring to the SAFE zone. AGAIN please explain EXACTLY where this is, and note that on NW6 and 7's that this area is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced in size. Doctors WORLD WIDE cannot get together and agree on this.

Your argument is based on your assumption that any doctor can forecast future hairloss on a man between the ages of 20 to 40, and is again, misinformed.
What is the forecast on your future level of hairloss?

I wish you would look beyond this political crap people like to fling up when faced with an argument about approach now and in the future. It shows a real lack of reasoning.

BTW you will need 11,000 grafts to cover 200cm of bald area at a density of 55 fu's per cm/2. How many people have 11,000 grafts? Aside from all of the talk, how many pictures have you seen?

I went for a few consults when I was 25 when I was a NW3. Guess what? I had enough donor to cover ALL my bald frontal areas and restore my youthful hairline. Sound familiar? Glad I didn't though, because by 28 I was a NW5+ with 7-8500 grafts available.

As far as your crystal ball, I don't pretend to have all of the answers, and it is fallacious for you to assume that your chosen physician or anyone else does as well.
I believe in a safe, conservative approach to cosmetic surgery that will affect your appearance for life.
Sorry if that is so difficult for you to understand in terms that are NOT taking shots at Armani.

Lighten up. You made inferences to armani. You gave it away b/c it falls under the thread ARMANi, so then who else are you talking about? Its's a wait and see for all hair transplant patients and it will vary based on the amount of work done etc etc. The statement regarding what the pateint wants is not Armani's MO it's something that was assumed and created on these boards so if you read my post correctly that was what I was implying. \
As for the safe zone, it is pointless in describing it since everyone's head is structurally different. From a gross standpoint, it is at or below the level of the ears, again, everyone is different. It is the hair left after a Norwood 7 zone is visualized.

I will respond to the rest of ur post when I have time.

ANSWERS IN CAPS.

Your argument is based on your assumption that any doctor can forecast future hairloss on a man between the ages of 20 to 40, and is again, misinformed.
NO IT'S NOT, I NEVER SAID THAT SO DONT PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH.
YOU CAN DETERMINE THE LEVEL BY THE PATTERN OF LOSS.

What is the forecast on your future level of hairloss?

I AM A NW2, I MAY PROGRESS TO A Norwood 3 SOMEDAY BUT MY FAMILY HISTORY IS <Norwood 4'S. I HAVE BEEN A Norwood 2 SINCE AGE 20. I HAVE KEPT MY HAIR WITH GOOD LIVING, THE BIG 3 AND RECENTLY 1491 GRAFTS BY DR COLE....WHO MIGHT I ADD IS VERY CONSERVATIVE.

I wish you would look beyond this political crap people like to fling up when faced with an argument about approach now and in the future. It shows a real lack of reasoning.

I ALWAYS DO. I DONT BELIEVE ANY OF THE VETERAN POSTERS AT ALL. AGAIN YOU ARE ASSUMING AND ARE INCORRECT.

BTW you will need 11,000 grafts to cover 200cm of bald area at a density of 55 fu's per cm/2. How many people have 11,000 grafts? Aside from all of the talk, how many pictures have you seen?

OK, THAT'S IF YOU REACH A NW7 LEVEL. THAT'S IF. i AGREE FEW PEOPLE HAVE THAT DONOR SUPPLY. PICS, MANY, ASK ME HOW MANY hair transplants HAVE I SEEN IN PERSON AND HOW MANY DIFFERENT HAIRLOSS PATTERNS....ASK ME WILL YOU PLEASE!

I went for a few consults when I was 25 when I was a NW3. Guess what? I had enough donor to cover ALL my bald frontal areas and restore my youthful hairline. Sound familiar? Glad I didn't though, because by 28 I was a NW5+ with 7-8500 grafts available.

OK SO WHATS YOUR POINT YOU HAVE ADVANCED male pattern baldness. WERE YOU ON MEDS? minoxidil? NIZORAL? PROBABLY NOT. THEY DO WORK FOR THE MAJORITY. IF YOU WERENT HOW DO WE KNOW IF COUYLD HAVE BEEN STABILIZED OR NOT?

As far as your crystal ball, I don't pretend to have all of the answers, and it is fallacious for you to assume that your chosen physician or anyone else does as well.
WHAT PHYSICIAN ARE YOU REFERRING TO B/C I NEVER MENTIONED ONE. AGAIN, MORE FILLER FROM YOU.

I believe in a safe, conservative approach to cosmetic surgery that will affect your appearance for life.

GEE, WE FINALLY AGREE ON SOMETHING. MY hair transplant WORK WAS SMALL INCOMPARISON TO MANY AND DR COLE NAYED ON WHAT I PROPOSED, WE CAME TO COMMON GROUND DURING THEN PROCEDURE. YOU CAN HAVE hair transplant WORK WITH THE VISION OF WHAT IT MAY LOOK LIKE IN THE FUTURE IF HAIR FALLS OUT AROUND IT. HE PLANTED A FEW AMONG MY HAIR TO BALNCE IT OUT.

Sorry if that is so difficult for you to understand in terms that are NOT taking shots at Armani.

Here's what I don't get..Why do you care if someone continues to go bald and has no hair left to transplant?

Joe Biden, Chuck Shumer....Pretty obvious they both got hair transplants the way they have hair up front but big bald spots. They are United States Senators....pretty much proof it's not a big deal if you run out of donor hair.

How does the hippocratic oath even apply to hair transplants? We are talking about a cosmetic procedure here, the "big deal" in your eyes being where that hair is positioned on one's head. You think hair should cover the head, and go as forward as possible. Well who made you king of hair? Me I think Joe Biden's decent hairline with a big bald spot looks fine. Maybe he thinks it's great. Why do you think your idea of where hair should go is the only ethical one?

Dont see the connection between Us senators and hairloss. Unusual analogy. Maybe you can explain it alittle clearer. You cant compare these two guys to what Armani ultra dense packing of the first 1/3 of the scalp because they are more unique and you can only imagine what hairloss around the hair transplant hair will look like, I'll give you a hint..freakish. Think of all the blotches of hair then bald spots. Do you see what I am saying?

Cool, so you argued with me, and we just didn't understand each other.

Great! We have presented an arguement, agree to disagree, and everyone who reads this can make a fair assumption based on what they feel.

That is what this is about.

That is why I dislike the name calling, it lessens you in the long run.

Again, you assume that you will not progress to a Norwood 7---- I "may" progress to a NW3 someday? Great--- You got a written guarantee from Cole that you will never progress from a Norwood 3, I am happy for you.

Your argument is based on your assumption that any doctor can forecast future hairloss on a man between the ages of 20 to 40, and is again, misinformed.

YOU CAN DETERMINE THE LEVEL BY THE PATTERN OF LOSS.

Strike this statement because you just explained the basis of your position based on Dr. Cole and your family history, oh, and pattern of loss, which is no guarantee of anything

WHAT PHYSICIAN ARE YOU REFERRING TO B/C I NEVER MENTIONED ONE. AGAIN, MORE FILLER FROM YOU.

Sorry my fault, however, your following posts made your physician clear
moot point

GEE, WE FINALLY AGREE ON SOMETHING. MY hair transplant WORK WAS SMALL INCOMPARISON TO MANY AND DR COLE NAYED ON WHAT I PROPOSED, WE CAME TO COMMON GROUND.....

So what are you even saying here??????? This isn't a game or a one-up contest. Why are you even defending the approach of others that may result in disastrous results? Obviously, you understand why you can't burn up donor, so why even argue here?

Your following a careful plan, yet you rail against anyone or anything you can. I looked at quite a few of your posts, and to be honest, you treat this forum like a giant pissing contest and act as if you know what you are talking about. Maybe you do, which is an even bigger shame because you might actually do some good if you tried.

I for one do not understand your almost hateful or flagrant disregard for some of the people who post here, "veterans" or "cheerleaders" as you like to call them.

In piecing this together, after looking at a lot of your posts, you simply are one of those people who A. know everything, B. hear something you like or that makes sense to you and believes it to be absolute truth and C can never be disproved, regardless of X factor or unknown. When in doubt or in an argument, refer to A.

So, we have a guy here who argues for being able to forecast hairloss
argues for agressive, dense hairlines, if that is what a patient wants
cannot be dissuaded from the fact that he is completely right

Yet, he opts for the more conservative approach, BUT almost went to Armani, who BTW quoted him more than a thousand more grafts than Cole "but I didn't need them"

What a joke------

Also bear in mind that the transplanted hair from your donor may miniaturize over time also. I think the meds keep the hair in the anagen phase as long as possible but hair ages over time. So to say you will be a Norwood anything is a bit of a stretch if you ask me.

IMHO, we have come a long way in the last 10 yrs. 10 yrs ago hair transplant were barbaric. Meds were not mainstream. Who knows what the future lies ahead but I do believe it looks bright for everyone. Stay on the BIg 3 and pray to the hair gods. Chins up!

Are you kidding me? Talk about a real change of heart!

OH Hey, I happened to dig this little nugget of information up as well.

posted by Dr. Lookinggood in Oct 13th

Dude I saw ur pix! What the f*** would u want to go to Armani and dense pack the $#iT out of the frontal 1/3rd of your head at this age? What if you go bald behind it? your donor region is a finite resource and you may need it in the future!
dont even think about it yet.

"Dude" you need to think about exactly what you are doing here. In just doing a little research I find you are all over the joint, first railing about this, then 2 or 3 weeks later, arguing against your argument!!!!!!

You blow with the wind!!!!!! Again, you are just looking to belittle or argue with anyone you can, to try and prove you worth.
That has all come to a halt.

I got a FUSS procedure done by Alvi Armani. I don't know how he usually operates, but the day my surgery was done he was doing surgery on another patient. I believe this is why I got a discounted rate. Because I am poor this discounted rate was appreciated. That being said, it also made my experience less than ideal.

Firstly, there was no consultation in the morning like one would expect. I was in the operating chair drugged up on something that was shot into me by a nurse "for my relaxation" when Armani came and drew a hairline for me. Man, if you saw that line you would truly think it was freakish. I have no idea what he was thinking. So I told him it was too low. Then he drew another one, and I told him it was still too low. He said something like the line is only a guide, he doesn't follow it exactly, and that the hairline would be higher. Which doesn't make sense to me, but it's tough to argue with a doctor when you are sitting in an operating chair.

Well, I personally felt his hairline was too low that he gave me, but I pulled out a bunch of grafts and I expect I will have a satisfactory hairline when all is said and done.

I will say he did a great job with the incision, and that when looking at the photos of patients from other hair transplant surgeon websites, I would take my experience with Armani over what other surgeons deliver for their clients, which are shitty looking hairlines unless you plan on getting into politics.

WHAT? please tell me that doesnt mean you pulled out grafts after the surgery to make a DIY hairline?
