It is slowing though? I feel for you. I was only on it for two weeks...I probably wasn't a great candidate to begin with since my thinning wasn't too bad and mostly in the front... and now the shedding is out of hand. I just hope it grows back to where I started fairly quickly.

that sucks man, has ur hairline receded alot more? i know why u stopped minoxidil, im afraid of this happening so i still use it once at night because it makes my head hitch like so much.

Funny enough - no. My hairline has held out the storm thus far, ive just thinned all over but the top of my head and crown have become ridiculously sparse. Its all a big strange really but im glad my hairline is in tact somewhat (im still a nw3 perhaps but i can style it like a nw2) ....although its not great compared to the hairloss (shed!) on the top ud expect me to have no fringe left.

I duno if minoxidil stopped the shedding or its just stopped. Either way its still shedding a little but most of the shedding seems to be done at this point.

I stopped it because i had never seen any regrowth and my hair still continued to regress. I suppose it helped more than i thought though

was you taking comparison photos? because some changes might not be very noticeable without comparing a before and after photo. Also most hair growth products from what I can gather take time to work. I would advise trying it again and taking photos if you didnt before.

I'm not sure if you are referring to post-minoxidil shed or shed caused by minoxidil.

I had a bit of both. When I first started using minoxidil, I had a small shed which was never a big deal for me.

Around 2 months after stopping minoxidil, I realised that my hair got slightly thinner but again I didn't notice any major shed. Around month 3-4, I had a week of "noticeable" shed, which I presumed was the last of my minoxidil dependent hairs shedding.
