Hello,
Â
I am a 24 year old finasteride. user (Propecia) and have been on it for 5 months exactly. I take 1mg daily and I use Nizoral 2% three times per week. I am diffusing in the crown heavily and now the mid scalp. I have run into a bit of a snag with my Propecia. I am experiencing some issues that I am not sure are all that common. I will first run through the ones that I got that were “normalâ€. When I first started taking Propecia I got the ball ache and watery semen most people seem to report. The ball ache subsided but the water semen still persists. It has thickened up a bit though (sorry for the explicitness). Now for the not so normal, I have been getting acne throughout my scalp and along the hairline. An itch has accompanied it.  My hair has also been diffusing more throughout my whole scalp but focusing more on the crown/mid scalp areas.  My left temple has taken a bit of a hit with blonde hairs being the overwhelming majority on it (I have brown hair). I have also noticed that I have blondish looking hairs throughout my whole scalp now…even the sides of my hair. My question for the experienced finasteride user, is this the typical, things will get worse before they get better deal or is the finasteride throwing my hormones out of whack and speeding up my male pattern baldness? I know that people can’t answer that question sternly but if people have experienced the same thing I am all ears. Also I am loosing my leg hair. My dad and oldest brother both lost there leg hair as well so that may just be in my genes. But, not sure if they lost it this early. No other finasteride problems to report- especially in the bed... erection, libido etc. Lastly, I had long thick hair a year and a half ago. I shave my hair to a one now to mask the thinning. Any and all comments are greatly appreciated as I don’t know that many people who are well versed on the subject (including the doctors I have seen). Thank you everyone! Â
