Quick question about hair transplants

I was just wondering does 1 graft = 1 hair?

Because I've seen some before and after pictures on some sites of transplant doctors and I've seen some slick bald guys probalby a norwood 6 and wtih 3500 grafts they look so good.

I mean how can you be completely bald and have only 3500 hairs implanted and look so good?

I mean the human head has over 100,000 and I really can't see how 3,500 hair is sufficient to provide adequate coverage.

well not really......cuz hair comes in 1,2,3 graph follicular units....so they may use like 2 and 3 graph haiirs to cover the middle of the head and 1's to cover the crown and to create a natural hairline so if u get 3500 graphs its possible that u can get somehwere about 10,000 "hairs" i'd imagine.....dunno if im exactly right, but this is what i can gather from my research

problem is , those 3-4 graft ones don't look very natural...in fact none of the grafts I've seen look very natural...I really don't think transplants are a good idea in general unless you need them away from your hair line (like in the side somewhere, or maybe on the crown) ...they just don't look right, they fall funny, grow in strangely, and they leave a scar whereever they are put in.
Before you have a transplant make someone show you (in person) what they look like. DO NOT RELY ON PICTURES.

Grreg i totally disagree with you.Transplants today look very natural especially if you do your homework and get a really good surgeon like i did.Have alook at my pictures on my wesbite and see how natural looking they are.Nobody even my closest friends that i see everyday still dont know that i have had a hair transplant.
