im 20 yrs old stil a n1, my right temple is slightly different then the left, im not for sure but im assuming that i have male pattern baldness because my dad is pretty bald but my older brother no signs of balding and the men on my moms sign no male pattern baldness and my dad said his dad passed with hair so im not sure, i have full coverage on the rest of my head my issue is the hair line, ive been on finasteride for a little more then 4 months and minoxidil for 2 or less, Anyways ive been applying minoxidil to just my hair line and i see alot of small dark hairs growing along my hairline, also i feel like my hair line is slowly restoring itself back to how it was, i dont know if its the minoxidil or the finasteride but something tells me the finasteride might be doing that for me who knows, i dont really want to be on minoxidil for ever i dont mind the finasteride but the minoxidil id rather do with out, since i already been on minoxidil for 2 months or so should i just continue it? will i see a drastic change if i discontinue it? to what shall i give the credit too for the little success i think im experiencing the finasteride or the minoxidil? should i just continue both since its really not much of a hastle i just apply it to the hair line two quick rubs on the temple and im out not a big deal and a bottle of minoxidil would last me months.. what would u guys do??

finasteride and min work differently

finasteride blocks the conversion of test to dht

minoxidil dilates the blood vessels giving more blood circulation to the follicles

so in essence finasteride may not helping those hairs at the line to grow
the min may be doing that

i would keep up with the big three if i were you

cheers

BodyDysmorphic is right. I started with just minoxidil for the first two years and got alot of growth in the front. The two work in different ways and together (with Nizoral) is the best way to tackle it.

If you want regrowth, hop on minoxidil,

if you want to maintain whatcha got, stick with finasteride, save yourself the hassle.
