Quit spironolactone: Painful Hair Follicles; Massive Hair Loss On Hairline

I've desperately been trying to keep my hairline stable for the last two years through the use of higher strength minoxidil (10% from Rapid Solns) and .5% dutasteride. I was using spironolactone from here until supply stopped and acquired some from an independent supplier but stopped using it as I developed a VERY sore hairline (hair sore to touch at the base and very itchy)

Over the course of the last two weeks I have been using everything to stop the mad itchiness including Eucerin, Nixoral, TGel and even hydrocortisone cream. Suffice to say, my hairline is now completely fuc*ed, just as the pain has gone away. Has anyone else had this experience? I would have gone to the doctor but work has prevented me from doing so recently.

Maybe the minoxidil is also causing this. I knwo you used it for a while now but maybe together with the spironolactone it becomes more aggressive. Well i dont use spironolactone, but i had recently also a itchy and sore hairline. Wanted to treat it with cortisone cream but well my hairline is kinda fuckep up now. It ll probably recover. However, this is going to take some months

Did it happen during your usage of gourmetstylewellness.com's spironolactone or was it only with the other supplier's? (I guess it was wholesale somthing?)

Using a antianfrogen might make your skin more sensitive to angrogens. I had the same thing happen several times and my right temple is destroyed.

Actually by it was only by using hydrocortisone that I managed to shift the soreness/itchy scalp! I have seen some old posts online that other users saw very strong regrowth on their temples using hc, however for obvious reasons long-term use of this is best avoided.

All this aside, I imagine that this will take a LONG time to recover (if at all).

I was using wholesale health something (can't remember?) spironolactone when the problem arose. The gourmetstylewellness.com spironolactone was great. Never had any issues with it at all although I'm not sure if it did anything?.

I seriously think it's something else causing it or perhaps combination of minoxidil and something else. You said you were using whole bunch of different shampoos to stop the itch. You should stick with just Nizoral. All those chemicals can do some damage.

I've been using wholesale spironolactone and I never had any side effects.
