Reasons for Hair Loss not named DHT

Been on dutasteride for almost 2 years now and have seen continuous thinning and have gone from nw2 to approaching nw4 its just nuts. I have also used RU for quite a while too but I cant seem to even hold on to what I have it just gets worse and worse seemingly by the week.

Its got me thinking that DHT really cant be responsible for my hair loss fully as I'm nuking it each day with high dose of dutasteride! What other resaons are there for hair loss? I read about PGD2 inhibition a while back but is this a theory or has it been tested? I'm kind of stumped as all I ever wanted to do was hold on to what I had a few years ago and would never dream of being in this position where only a hair transplant may be the only option to give me a hairline again.

So what other reasons are there?
-DHT
-Testosterone (If you are sensitive)
-PGD2
-Inflammation

Anyone know any others?

there are a million stories out there about finasteride/dutasteride not working or rapidly speeding up male pattern baldness. It happened to me, and several others on this forum. You shouldn't be too surprised when these treatments don't work. They just don't for some people. You can have a very minimal amount of serum DHT, yet still be f*cked by Androgenetic Alopecia. Your body is compensating by creating more androgen receptors for T and for the remaining DHT that's floating around.

Yeah I guess I am dealing with stress and anxiety too but I don't think that's a reason for male pattern baldness. I look at my parents and see I've been dealt a ****ty hand, my dad is nw6 and my mom has very fine hair so she is definitely carrying the male pattern baldness gene. I just thought these treatments would work like they do so many others. I mean very few ppl go to the extreme treatments ive taken and yet nothing working is so painful I cant even describe it while others just pop a finasteride a day and are fine for 10 years or so :ermm:. I'll guess i'll continue nuking my body with dutasteride and smearing RU on the head while I save for a hair transplant as I cant give up this fight and need a hairline to frame my face. The only solace I have is my crown hasn't succumbed yet which is quite surprising as my frontal hair loss is so advanced. My crown is as thick as the back of my head, hopefully this makes me a good candidate for a hair transplant in the future.

Stfu Hair42day, you're in the wrong website to persuade people to buy whatever you're peddling. We know too much about what works and doesn't.

You have to look at everything you do, including medications and products you use on your body. Something as simple as a dandruff shampoo can cause hair loss.

Do you know what specifically happens in the brain/body when we stress that causes hair loss ? And solutions we can do to diminish the effects of stress? ( aside from stress reduction things like exercise, mediation)
For example I had a serious stomach problem that landed me in hospital for 3 weeks. My entire body was extremely taxed and exhausted, yet it wasn't the anxiety , panic attack type of stress I've had before, yet this is when my hair loss started with a vengeance. So do these types of stress work on similar path ways as normal day to day stresses. And if so is it the raised levels of cortisol, adrenalin etc that cause ________? Which can lead to increased hair loss?
