Receding hairline at 16 [pictures]

Hello guys!
I'm 16 and was wondering if there is any way of combating male pattern baldness at my age so I'm gonna ask you guys some questions :D.

I'm Norwood 1.75-2 in my opinion and I would really like to keep that for at least 10 more years.

Is it safe to use minoxidil at my age? I'm planning on using the Kirkland 5% foam version,is there any difference between the foam and liquid version? (because I found a site in my country where I can order 3 months worth of liquid min at the price of 27$ but the foam version is more like 100$ for 3 months).

Is Minoxidil going to slow down the process of balding in any way?
From what I read it promotes growth and it doesnt actually stops the balding process,if that is true, can I use min 'till I am 17 or 18,then use finasteride to stop the balding AND keep the hair growth from min?

I'm planning to visit a dermatologist so he can confirm that I have indeed male pattern baldness, but I'm pretty sure I do,if I run my hands through my hair I get like 3-4 hairs on it and I lose a lot of hair in the shower(at least 25-30 hairs),and my hairline has receeded, that means I have male pattern baldness right?

The thing is that I have no history of male pattern baldness in my family,I checked every member of the family (to my great grandfathers) and not one uncle, grandfather, cousin or great grandfather went bald...apparently I'm the only one in my family. The worst hairline was that of my maternal great grandfather and he was a maximum a NW2.5 at 60+ years. My dad has a freacking NW1 hairline,as does almost every single one of his brothers but my mom and one of her sister has thin hair that falls out( but they're not bald by any means).

If you guys decide it's safe for me to use min I plan on using it untill I am 17(if the balding doesnt slow down/stops) or 18(if my hair stays mostly the same) and then start using finasteride.

Also, I never had a Norwood 1 hairline, maybe a NW1.4-1.5 at most,is it possible that my hair could regrow in a pattern similar to a NW1 (if I'm very lucky)?

I will update tomorrow with pictures of my hairline.

ok guys, here is an album with the photos of my hairline

also, why is my right temple better off than my left one,and what's up with the white hairs around the right temple?

It looks like you've had some minor recession of your hairline.

Here's what I suggest: Go make an appointment to see an hair transplant surgeon to get checked for Male Pattern Baldness. If you do have the condition, I'd also check if you can qualify to start taking Finasteride, since by law you have to be 18 years of age or older to take that medication. Finasteride is the #1 treatment for Male Pattern Baldness and is pretty much the 'closest' thing we have to a cure today.

If you really don't have Male Pattern Baldness, then I wouldn't worry about losing hair, other than to look out for any negative changes in the quality of hair.

+1

Yes vigilance, not obsessiveness is important and early detection and/or treatment is unanimously required.

My hairline is worse than yours and i am only 15.

I'm sorry for you man :( ,my hairline actually looks worse in reality so we might not be that different, well if we are bald by 18 then oh well =)) I'm sure we'll do fine in life anyway.

Ok guys,I'll make sure to visit a doctor but could you still explain me what's up with the little white hairs around my right temple(the one that is fuller)?
