I NEVER had reduced libido on dutasteride or finasteride just reduced sperm production. Ur Still very Young man u should keep f*****g as much as u can.

Anyway…I bought a Dr. Pen and used it for the first time today. I used the 16-needle cartridge, 1.5MM at full speed. Does it look like I went too hard or not hard enough. I could only do 2 minutes on each temple…it was a little more painful than I was anticipating.

Alright, I’ve been using the dermapen weekly for two months now. I can’t notice a huge difference but maybe it takes more time? Interested to hear others’ experienced.

I’m coming up on 5 years on finasteride which is hard to believe + 6 months of the derrapen. Things don’t seem to be worse which is good — I’d be happy to maintain.

M32, balding is common on dad’s side of family. I’ve been on finasteride since September 2018 (no noticeable sides) and have been using minoxidil nightly for even longer. I started using a dermapen once a week last year.


I’ve been focusing on monitoring my temples but now I’m starting to worry about my crown. I took these photos to compare to 2019 (labeled, the first two photos):

I thought I was paranoid, you have been on finasteride and still freaking out, it's just a whorl. I am 32 as well and not on finasteride yet, but haven't seen any changes yet. Will post a thread soon.

I’m just trying to stay on top of it. finasteride has been a breeze - hope it is the same for you if you decide to go that route later.

No, nothing noticeable. Not even when I first started. Typically only people with negative reactions to a medication are going to write about their experience online — it’s the vocal minority.

Ok got it, nice, I am tempted to start but don't want to start without being 100% sure if I am experiencing any hair loss.

There's nothing to overthink about. If you feel you've been falling more hair than usual, then I suggest you visit a dermatologist or a trichologist near you that will be able to assess your condition properly.

Besides this, you can follow several safety measures so that you're not prone to male pattern baldness.

1. Eat a healthy diet with lots of vitamins and minerals. Research proves that poor nutrition can contribute to male pattern baldness.

2. Stop smoking.

3. Don't take any type of stress. Stress and hair fall are closely related.

4. Keep your water intake good + take adequate sleep.

5. Don't use anabolic steroids or other supplements to gain lean muscle mass.

Making minor changes to your lifestyle can give you a healthy body and a healthy scalp.

Still, if you notice more hair falling than usual, it's time to visit a hair doctor near you!

Progress update (just got a haircut so it’s a little shorter than usual). I feel like I’m in ok shape, but I’m still worried about the temples. Still no issues with finasteride.

Progress update - I’m still a little concerned about the temple area but it doesn’t seem to getting significantly worse. Hoping the dermapen is helping.
