Hi,
I'm 25 years old, and not sure if I've started to lose hair. As far as I remember always had a receding hairline, but, probably I didn't really paid attention to it. My father is 56 and he has NW2 hairline, grandfather wasn't bald either. So could be genetics?
Is it possible to improve the hairline ? What you would suggest ?
Thanks for you time.

wolf1, your hairline is receding due to Male Pattern Baldness from genetics. The best option is for you to get on Finasteride therapy so your hairline doesn't keep receding. I recommend to make an appointment to see a hair transplant surgeon and have them write you a prescription for Finasteride. If you respond well to treatment your hairline should stabilize and maybe even move forward a little bit. If you only maintain the current state of your hairline, then getting a hair transplant would be the best option to improve your hairline.

Yes it does, unfortunately. I had an N2 around your age, three years later I'm at N2.5 - N3. Get it taken care of early on.

Jup, that is male pattern baldness. Clear recession of your hairline.

Consider going on finasteride and minoxidil.

Thanks for the answer. Now it's time to get a prescription for finasteride.
But would you suggest to visit a surgeon or dermatologist first?

You'll may need a surgeon to prescribe finasteride if a GP refuses. Many do. Just find anyone to prescribe finasteride, whatever's cheapest, surgeon, GP, dermatologist. Get on finasteride and minoxidil for one year, take lots of pictures, especially hairline, reassess after 1 year whether you still want/need a transplant. If unsuccesfful after 6 months, consider stronger treatment like dutasteride.

First you have to wait a few years till your hairloss has stabilized on finasteride before you start thinking about a hair transplant.

Hello comrads.
It's been 30 days since I started using the 3.
A little update. I'm undergoing a massive shedding at the moment, hope it will stop soon.
About my libido, I feel that it decreased a little bit. But I'm not sure, may be it's the placebo.
I'm thinking of doing a testosterone test to see if it has decreased below the baseline levels.

Any suggestions are very welcome. Do you need pics of progress(or no progress)?

What do you think about this article - http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/drryan14.htm ?

"Finasteride
i2.gif

As you take oral Finasteride, a type II 5 alpha-reductase inhibitor, it quickly deactivates testosterone in your body. Men with early hair loss were found to have HIGH serum dihydrotestosterone (DHT), and normal or slightly elevated serum testosterone. Rogaine and Propecia are designed to quickly prevent the reaction that turns testosterone to DHT.
The main issue here is that testosterone levels seem to go up, but your body mass index (BMI) goes down. That means even though you have more testosterone in your blood, it isn't telling your genes to make the proteins necessary for muscle mass.

I have been personally using Propecia and Rogaine for almost six years and as I was coming up on my 44th birthday some strange things were happening. Other people were lifting more than me in the gym, and that isn't normal. I would wake up tired, looking flat, and not to mention a multitude of other problems.
So I checked in and saw Dr. Eric Serrano, M.D. Now, if you are professional figure athlete you likely know that name. Dr. Serrano serves on the medical team every year at the Arnold Weekend. So the blood studies come back showing the testosterone is way down. Boom, reality check time!"
