When you have been thin like me for ten years its nice to look in the mirror and see the shiny colorless little bastards you have not seen in many years. I have my hairline back now fellas but its in the form of vellus hairs. Another couple of years of continued regimen and I think I should have hairline back and vertex back. How many products out there for sale can actually say it can do that! None, its a regimen like this that works for us baldies.I say atleast three products should be used if your bald.

So you're using liquid Dutasteride? Do you think it makes any difference?

I would like to say yes but thats still just a hunch. I believe the vellus hairs are particularly appreciative. In small dose

How much do you pay for your liquid Dutas and where do you get it?

Hey thin=depressed,

Were you completely bald in the front before you began treatments? When you say you have grown a hairline of vellus hairs, do you mean they have grown longer and thicker so that they are easily visible?

I get a bit confused when people say they have grown vellus hairs since they have to be there to begin with or it means the follicles are completely dead. I think I'm in the same boat as you're in. I have lost a lot of hair, but I have a ton of vellus hairs I can see. I just started treatments a couple months ago so I hoping it's not too late and I can get some of these things to grow since it looks as if all my follicles are at least still producing hairs. Sure wish I had started earlier.

I had a pathetic little thin patch in the front but still do but now surrounded by vellus. Your not correct when you say that vellus is dead if not there. I was slick on my old hairline. No vellus just slightly shiny scalp which means just about useless to try but I managed to bring back the vellus in that area. Yes, they have grown from extremely short to about 2mm some of them but they are still useless cosmeticly but its encouraging to see the progress.

Are you saying that you take both finasteride and dutasteride?

I did not see any liquid dutasteride on the site, so I'm assuming the "brew" is your own mixture of it, right?

How did you get a perscription for both? I never thought of that one.

I found that the vellus hairs have come in waves, which have then gone on to shed and re-grow as much darker and thicker hairs over a cycle of about three "sheds".

I'm only 18 months in, so I realise that this is still relatively early days, however the cycles seem to be quite regular (Aprox every four months).

18 months is early? wow, you're the first person i have heard say that! how is the product working for you? are you still seeing regrowth even after the 1 year mark? did you have periods of shed thinning that tended to regrow, or are these cycles you speak of not really cosmetically noticeable.

I'm extremely happy with the results so far (Click on my photo diary link at the bottom).

The vellus seems to appear almost over night and just stay at about an inch long for a couple of months before vanishing only to soon re-appear as longer, darker thicker hair. The pattern has repeated itself from about week six.

good news for me.. i too had tons of these vellus hairs around month 2, some grew longer, some fell out. I am at a bit of a thin point right now on my temples, i'm really hoping i follow in your footsteps and get that next round of thicker hairs coming in where the vellus ones were.

I wish you all the best, did you take a look at my photos? :)

Interestingly, the main growth spurts have always been around the time I've been exposed to more sunlight. I have no idea if it's coincidence or not, but the first spurt was soon after I started, then all through last summer, then again in November when I went to Florida. I wonder if my hair can photsynthesize?

Well, just for the hairloss, 2.5mg Proscar daily

However, the other drugs I take possibly have a beneficial side effect...

3 x Ovysmen Daily
(500 mg Norethisterone & 35 Ethinyloestradiol per tab)

1 x Androcur
(50mg Cyproterone)

I don't reccomend this regemien to anyone unless you want silky smooth skin, a complete loss of libido and boobies! :)

Are you saying that you are adding 10 X .5mg dutasteride caps to a 60ml bottle of minoxidil? I was just thinking about starting something similar to this based on the Lipoxidil product that just came out. A question for you or anyone else, what would the strength/percentage of dutasteride in a solution such as yours?
