recovering vellus hairs is crucial

Hmmm... but I believe that you need to include LLL as one of the treatments that not only helps the vellus hair to survive but also brings back pigmentation in them as well.

So many questions...

Checkingin,
I too have considered a topical dutasteride, but cannot use minoxidil as I am mildly allergic to it (Hayfever like symptoms).

Scotto,
Yes, about 3 months after starting finasteride I had some excruciating cramps "down there" (Balls in a vice). It passed and has not returned, it's also not that uncommon I believe.

Guest,
Not yet, need to get basic appearence more acceptable first, something I'm hoping FFS goes some way to "fixing" later in the year. I'm also waiting on getting stronger hair, which hopefully I'm now well on the way to completing.

Greg1,
What's LLL? I don't have a lot of vellus left now, most of it has cycled into normal hair. Saying that, there is still a lot of hair which has recovered in the last year or so that seems to be much slower growing than my established hair.

My vellus hair didn't react to finasteride and I couldn't use minoxidil due to scalp skin irritation and pealing untill I introduced a topical nutrient/amino +q10+dmso+edta+al acid ... So now I can apply min once a day without extreme irritation and vellus hairs obviously are responding and some even have changed to pigmented vellus hair. I really think I have something good going on.
