I keep getting these red marks exactly where my temple loss is. They feel like liquid on touch, kind of like the texture that you feel from popping a pimple. How common is that?

Edit: also, what Norwood am I as of now. Did I reach 2? https://imgur.com/a/JUIhRz1

LMAO. I used to struggle to get finasteride like you until I just got a prescription online. You should try the same.

Where'd you get it from? Sounds kinda sketchy but if it works it works.
The thing is, my countries FDA banned finasteride from like 2010 to 2016 and now everyone thinks it's actual poison that will 100% turn you into a depressed vegetable that's unable to reproduce. I've tried stuff like inhouse pharmacy and they don't actually ship to my country. I was told they only ship to Germany and UK out of the whole EU

Also for some reason every single one of them keeps telling me to get on minoxidil and some vitamins for 2 months and it will all be great. I can get on minoxidil but I feel like I can't even be arsed to do it if i'm not taking fina.

It feels great having both hairline recession and this sh*t at the same time. I'm pretty sure they're related

Well, I live in Europe & called legitimate doctors, took me 3 tries though. What about ordering it online from alldaychemist or smth? Where do you live

I'm pretty new here, but is that actually what temple hair loss looks like? The hairs themselves seem decently thick there. Since you're talking about finasteride I assume you've been using minoxidil to thicken up your temples I guess? If so the results seem good to me.

No, I find it futile using minoxidil without finasteride. Also, if you look at the less zoomed in pics, you can see miniaturized hairs. The hair still looks decent enough just because i'm in the early stages, but if I'm not proactive about it, it will certainly get worse, considering the fact that I had a straight hairline in 2017.

@Alphalete alldaychemist might work for me, i'll try contacting them tomorrow. 30x5mg propecia for 40 euro isn't bad. That's like 30 cents per day

best of luck bud :) the service there is amazing aswell. My shipment was delayed and they gave me a refund and an opportunity to get the finasteride for free if I wanted to but I returned it since I already have a prescription irl

By the way, since I didn't want to spam more topics, what would you saw my Norwood is right now? Am I still in the NW1-1.5 category or have I moved on to 2. I'm terrible at judging myself,

On some pics I can literally make it look like I have a straight hairline, like on this one for example : Screenshot_13.jpg
Not even sure how this photo came out so good. Also this side is less receded than the other one. I'd say my hairline got ~ 1-2 cm higher in the centre and like 3-4 on the sides.

I grew my hair longer and it's very noticeable that my sides are a bit worse due to that, when my hair isn't stiled back or upwards. Thought it would be the complete opposite. Guess I'll cut it shorter again. If I don't wash/condition it every other day , the loss is way more obvious. This whole album is right after shower with dry or still wet hair.

scalp inflammation and androgenic alopecia go hand in hand. do you have "dandruff" (seborrheic dermatitis)?

I’d comfortably say Norwood 1.5? See what others say.

As for your scalp, I have a similar few spots like that on my scalp and I was recently told I have mild psoriasis on my scalp. I can’t diagnose you but it looks similar to mine. It doesn’t cause hairloss unless you seriously scratch at it.

My temples receided in the same manner as yours, I can still make it look like a NW1 easily but when properly pulled back it's like a NW1.5

I'm not taking finasteride any soon though since my hair is still thick (I don't see any thinning in yours too although you seem to have naturally low density), may I ask why you started taking it at this stage ? it might very well stay like that

What's your family history?

I'm not taking it, but i'm planning to, if I get my hands on it. My density wasn't always low. You couldn't see scalp at all when I first noticed my temples receding.
Proof: 4.png 7.png 1.png

Also i'm very young still (21) and just untill 2 years ago I had a straight hairline that was much lower than it is now, on top of being thicker.

If anything, I think that just the left side is NW2ish, while the other one is less receded.
Left side pics: Screenshot_8.jpg Screenshot_9.jpg Screenshot_10.jpg Screenshot_11.jpg Screenshot_7.jpg

You can also see how although my hair is relatively long, it just seems to be very flat. Kind of looks like a comb over

The before pics are in not the same conditions as the recents ones, so I can't really tell if it was thicker

But it was indeed lower, although it's still looking good now. Are you positive you're thinning ? try finding before pics in the same angle / lighting as the pictures in your last post

Is your dad bald?

I mean, this thread is not about whether im balding or not. I know I am and it's been discussed already in topics previous to this one. It's originally about the marks on my temples and after that - my current Norwood, since i didn't want to make a new topic and just spam all over again, which I eventually inevitably will do anyway, the next time I get depressed about it

https://imgur.com/a/OWatc1m pretty sure those mini hairs will be gone in a couple of months at most. Hope it progresses slower because it's already starting to be visible that im losing my hairline. I'm hoping to at least graduate with hair that is below NW3 lol
