Okay.. I’ve heard someone say it never stops so I was just asking.. if you had to make a guess would you say it’s a permanent upregulation and if so then nothing would work?? Your pretty smart at this stuff so just wondering if they are permanently upregulated what can be done??
The people who say it's permanent haven't made any changes, I know that much. For example, if you increased your testosterone, the receptors will actually downregulate because there is more ligand to go around. The body tries hard to balance itself out. I would hop off finasteride for a while and add a topical to downregulate like estradiol cream. Not sure if RU is a great solution to fight RH. Are you on oral min?

Which specific topical Estrogen do you recommend for reflex hyperandrogenicity?

Probably estrogel. IIRC that's what bridgeburn started on. Not for the faint of heart. If you're on it too long it could really f*** you up.

Thanks. Sure sounds like playing russian roulette. Any other way to either downregulate receptors or if sticking with estrogen- take in a way that won’t be as risky and reckless?

What do you think of research about accutane downregulating receptors? I'm on week 3 at the moment. No bad sides as of yet

Again, I wouldn't stick on something like that much longer than a month. Maybe 2 months maximum. Also, if you are applying it to just the scalp and not your balls like the trannies do you shouldn't suffer that much side effects.

A side effect of accutane is hair loss, though in the temporary form of Telogen Effluvium. Not something I'd count on to be helpful. Overall the pros and cons balance out.

If accutane can down regulate androgen receptors as some research like the one linked below has shown, might it be effective for RH sufferers? I'm hoping

Maybe it could help but again does it matter when a side effect of the drug is hair loss?? It's also SKIN receptors, not necessarily hair follicles

I'm at a stage where I don't have to worry about hairloss anymore, as I have scalp micro pigmentation. But I understand your point for most people. Although it seems hairloss from accutane is more of an acute telogen effluvium type scenario
