Regaine Foam on Hairline

I have the early signs of some recession in my temples, and I am wondering if regaine foam is effective there?

I have heard very mixed opinions about this and I'm trying to figure out if it is worth the (somewhat limited) hassle.

Whenever people say it is not effective there, they never seem to clarify if they are talking about effectiveness at retaining hair or effectiveness at regrowing?

I'd be satisfied to keep my hair as it is and not have to worry so much about further loss, so if it works well at maintaining hair at the temples, then I'd be a happy guy.

Thanks

Yes. Rogaine does work on the hair line. If you look at the Success Stories section of this site you'll find some examples.

I have been using minoxidil on my hair line for months now and it has definitely helped.

I have been applying the foam along my hair loss for about 7months,Im in the same boat as you Quicksand as I started applying the stuff as soon as I seen any recession. Has it been working for me? Some days I think it is other days I think its making it worse. It can work in that region but less likely as opposed to the crown. Anyway good luck to ya, I hope it works.

Success using Rogain Foam on my hair line - Nothing, Zip, nadda, zero

Success using minoxidil 5% Liquid with Retin A on my hair line - Very good, new hairs growing, hair line now better than it was by a good 10%

Just my experience but I think foam is pretty rubbish compared to liquid.

Interesting....

I've used foam on the hairline for a good 4+ years now, and it's slowly gotten worse. I always assumed that it was more slowing the loss than regrowing. Perhaps I should switch to the liquid for the hairline.

Its a shame that Dr Lee was closed down as his minoxidil (5%) with Retin A was excellent!

I used it for about a year and got good results, but switched to foam as found it made my hair look a bit thicker after application.

However over the years I lost some ground in the crown and hair line.

Added the minoxidil with retin A back in and in the last 6 months have noticed some excellent regrowth again.

I've ordered some minoxidil 3% with tretonin (sp?) which is the same as Retin A from united pharmacies, so hopefully this will work well despite it being 2% less minoxidil than Dr Lee's was.

I think the Retin A plays a major part btw, not just the liquid content of the minoxidil.
