I've been getting a receding hair line for a while now and have now decided to really get a grip on it

I have settled on the following regime, please tell me if you think it’s ok:-

nizoral - every 2 days

alternate spironolactone and revivogen - once a night

folligen - every 2 days

My main concerns:-

Topical - don’t want to take pills

Apply at night - don’t want the hassle of applying stuff early in the morning

Easy to stick to

Not too expensive

No Minoxidil - I have used it before and I don't like the flakiness or having to stick to a strict pattern of application

Do you think that I have to apply something in the morning or will just at night do?

Good. Every 3 days is all that's necessary.

Not good. Use a clinically proven treatment first, or you have zero guarantee of results. It is your hair, but you've been warned. As for your dosing schedule, even for these unproven treatments, you need to use Topical spironolactone 2x a day and Revivogen at least once, if not twice a day.

How did you come up with this? :)

As long as you are aware that the propecia pill is the most effective treatment on the market, and minoxidil is the only other treatment with any concrete evidence that it works, im ok with you making your own decision. :)

You could get away with spironolactone at night and Revivogen at night if you space them a good half hour to 1 hour apart. It still wont be sufficient dosage on the spironolactone however.

Flakiness can be resolved by using folligen afterwards. Strict pattern of application is mandatory for any treatment regimen unfortunately.

Thanks for the advice GourmetStyleWellness

Not wanting to apply stuff early in the morning has nothing to do with being lazy Cassin, it's just that I don't want my hair to look horrible during the day - which it often did when I was using Minoxidil

Try this

After you fill the dropper, wipe off the sides. The will help greatly with appearance.

Cheers for the advice

I might take the plunge and go for propecia/proscar though rather than Minoxidil, I'm still at the stage where I don't really need to regrow (at the moment anyway 8) )

You must be joking. It takes me no more than 1 minute to apply. If your gonna be that lazy than go bald.

I am with you on this. How much easier could minoxidil be?

If you can swing it, put minoxidil on upon waking. If you can get an hour or so in before you shower, that will be much better than nothing!

Good luck

Here's what I do that seems to fit into my schedule well for me

AM: Folligen - wait 1 hour - Shower - Xandrox
PM: Sprio - wait 30 min - minoxidil - sometimes folligen.

I use minoxidil/Xandrox daily, spironolactone 6 or 7 times a week, and folligen 5 or 6 times.

Nizoral at least 3 times a week, sometime 4 if i have extra irritation.

How has this worked for you, along with the finasteride? Seems like a very aggressive routine, has it produced good results? How long have you been doing it, etc? I'm a newbie just starting...and also in SF!

Thanks!
