Hi guys,

Been lunking and researching this board for a while now, and came up with a regimine that has had amazing results for me in regrowing my hairline especially in the temple region, and i wanted to share it..

This is a case for those of you who dont have the major baldness in the top, but a receding hairline, especially in the temple region..

I was a classic N2, V shape hairline... and at 23 yrs old, this freaked me out... After trying everything out on the market for 2 years, Ive finally settled into something that has given me the most amazing results.. I tried everything from finasteride, to rogaine, to revivogen, and everything else including (im ashamed to say....) avacor.. and couldnt get anything to work.. it just seemed to get worse and i thought i was doomed..

but finally after scouritng this board, i found a combo thats been just incredible... and my N2, is pretty much gone and my hairline is almost back to the straight line, instead of the V shape.. and its getting thicker everyday...

Heres what I have been using for about 3 months now,

5% minoxidil daily (i use xandrox 5%) in the morning temple region
15% xandrox at night temple region
2500-3000 mg of MSM
300 mg of grape seed extract (GSE)
Multi Vitamin Once a day
nizoral 1% 2-3 times week

thats right . no finasteride!! i was on finasteride for about 5-6 months prior, and concluded it wasnt doing anything for my hairline and the sexual side effects freaked me out so i decided to stop with it.... so i tried the topical stuff and ive had awesome results.. every morning i can see it getting thicker and filling in more on my temple region! my hair even combs differently now :D

I had tried dr.lees 15% xandrox stuff about a year ago, but wasnt too consistent in using it every day.. and plus that stuff is expensive.. but after giving it a asecond go, with the 5% in the morning, along with the supplements, its just absolutley amazing how fast this regimem is workign for me!

Warning about the xandrox stuff though, in the first month i started shedding real bad, and i was so discouraged that i almost quit, but sticking with it for the 2nd and 3rd months, now im so glad i did... only downside is this regimen is expensive =( those xandrox bottles are like 100$ every ~2 months, and the supplements are like 20$ a month... Ouch...

so give this a try =)

It's great to hear that someone is actually having results with Xandrox.
How long have you been on your regimen for?
Got any pictures of the results?

I'm wondering if the reason you didn't have any results on the other products could have possibly been from constantly changing your regimen.
I mean you said you used finasteride for 5-6 months and I'm assuming you went through rogaine, avacor, revivogen and everything else In the a year and a half. Just a thought.

regardless is good to hear that you've settled into something and that it's working for you.

congrats :)

I am gonna stick with my finasteride, min and nizoral combo, i just dont want to get on anything that may not be easily available in a couple years.

mgoettl,

That's the general idea...stick with the proven stuff, when that fails take the kitchen sink approach :)

thanks!! Im gonna take a pic soon, and wil post it as soon as i can..

I ve been on this regimine for about 3 months now...

I started out with revivigen.. then after i finished that off and didnt see any changesm i went on on finasteride for about a half a year, along with rogain... and then added in the avocr stuff for in replace of it..

i guess i could have kept up with finasteride but, it just wasnt working onthe hairline/temple area.. and i kept reading about how it doesnt work too well there.. also i wasnt really seeing new growth... and didnt wanna shell out more $$ for new dose of finasteride when mine ran out..... my guess is if im not seeing ANY results whatsoever from it, im not gonna spend more on resupplying it..

Im almost thinking adding finasteride now would even be better for my regimmn, but right now, things are looking so good for me to change anything... =)

of course, you could be seeing the results because of the finasteride starting to work.

shed from azelaic acid

I have been on minoxidil and propecia for 6 years since i was 16 and have last month switched to xandrox 5% and have shed ever since.

I know this shed is NOT from minoxidil because i have been on regaine for ages. It must be from the azelaic acid.

How long is this shed gonna last? They have not justified a shed from azelaic acid, only from minoxidil, which is really worrying.

Please help!

What sort of "really bad" shedding were you having? Did you thin behind the existing hairline, have sparse areas go slick bald, etc?

And have you noticed any increase in body hair on the high-concentration Minoxidil?

A few comments:

1. Isn't the problem with minoxidil that it doesn't stop the follicles from dieing in the first place? So eventually growth stimulation won't be able to stimulate anything if the follicles are dead....

2. I believe there is a growth spurt at different seasonal changes. Spring for me has always had faster hair growth.

3. I hate to say this, but I am a little skeptical this is *real*. 3 months from a V-hairline to a straight one? Thats some helish fast hair growth. Since average hair growth per month is like what .5cm? Or, what could be happening is Spring hair growth and maybe your male pattern baldness wasn't really male pattern baldness but some other physiological condition.

thanks for your reply,

the shedding i am going through is significantly more, as in 2 to 3 times more the amount of hairs shed than normal.

i am also thinning behind the recede line which is not normal for me and the line is now becoming transparent. This has all happened within a month and a half apparently.

no sparse areas have gone sleek bald, no.

No real increase in body hair either.

thinking of just stopping xandrox. i know i should give it longer but i don't have a guarantee this hair will grow back after the "shed"

GSE and MSM are nill for hair loss so I don't see how those could have had anything to do with your temples filling in as for the Xandrox, Minoxidil and Nizoral they do have merrit but not like you speak of???

Dr. Lee even states in his literature that only 15% of patients will have some regrowth in the temple region with minoxidil or Xandrox.

I am skeptical about your results as nothing worked for me in this region and I am on Propecia.
