Regrowth but still shedding 1-3 hairs each slight tug. Normal?

I know I've experienced regrowth, especially at hairline, but still shedding a couple hairs with each pull throughout vertex. Is this normal? 9 months on 1.25mg finasteride everyday

The best thing to do is just leave well enough alone. Take a picture of your current hair situation, then every 2-3 months, take another picture under similar circumstances. If you see an improvement or worsening, then you can react accordingly.

However, it is really hard to tell you if this is normal. Shedding a couple hairs doesn't seem to be a big deal, especially if you're pulling. Also, we don't know, how 'hard' are you pulling? That is hard to describe in general and so it's not worth stressing about. Everyone sheds hairs, everyone can pull out hair, etc. etc. Just don't worry!

Instead of getting your head wrapped up in this stuff, just leave well enough alone until you see an actual visual problem with respect to your entire hair.

Hey introvertedextovert, I was wondering how long did it take you to notice a significant regrowth along your hairline? I've been on finasteride 1mg ED now for about 4 months. I feel as it has made my hair overall healthier and maybe I tad bit thicker( I'm a diffuse thinner), but my hairline has taken a huge blow in the past couple of months. Very thin and sparse with hairs it's very upsetting.

Check out my progression thread, you can find it by checking out my profile. I noticed new hairs along my hairline at 4 months. My hairline is shaping up to make a mature V shape, as opposed to a U shape. My hair too looks healthier I am just disconcerted at the fact I can gently tug at any area of my scalp and 1-3 hairs with a white bulb come out. I do understand, however, it's all a process. I'm patient.
My biggest question in the coming months is whether or not I need to pull the trigger on dutasteride, and what I need to evaluate before making the jump.

I'm in the same boat when comes to thinking about making the switch to dutasteride my man. I don't pull at my hairs but I do notice I'm shedding miniaturized hairs here and there. I think I'm going to stick with finasteride for a couple more months, but I feel my male pattern baldness is pretty aggressive. So I might switch in the coming months.
