Rejected Finasteride from Boots in the uk!

Hi Guys,

Hope you are well!

Having a really frustrating time with my hair loss..

After deliberating over whether to risk it for a biscuit with Finasteride, i finally took the plunge and booked myself in for a consultation with Boots (Uk distributor of finasteride) to get myself on their hair retention programme which includes; 1mg of finasteride a day.

Now i was rejected from this because i am a NW1 in their opinion, but my honest one is NW2 as on my left side (which is the side i sleep on coincidently) i have more recession on the temple area right at the top.

It was a very odd consultation because the pharmacist also said that if you experience side effects once they never go away even after coming off the drug..

Now for the UK guys - how do you get hold on your 1MG of finasteride. I do not want to purchase proscar 5mg and cut the tablets up!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Same happened to me mate. So annoying, especially as you have done well to get on it early. I know lloyds pharmacy do it and also hair transplant clinics.

Just order online from superdrug, is it best to order more expensive propecia or just cheaper generic finasteride?

Yep, experience has just led me to believe that if it is not readily available over the counter or after one (free) session with GP/Derm then you should just go straight to online retailers. All these stupid "professionals" are just not worth the trouble.

Pharmacy2u or Oxfordonlinepharmacy just get your meds from there if you're based in Europe. They're legit and I've gotten Dutasteride from there several times.

I went to my GP and got prescription then just ordered through boots website every time I was close to running out.

Depending on how your GP is though you may need to make several visits. In my experience they only do anything if you keep pestering them!

WTF. Why? I hope Oxfordonlinepharmacy still is man. Pharmacy2u is so f*cking overprived anyways.

I just spoke to Oxfordonlinepharmacy and they're not delivering outside of UK anymore too.
