Unfortunately, this poster, Socks was an online friend from here and another forum and he died very young. He was a really great person and was the one who helped me the most with hair loss treatment knowledge and support besides the other Bryan. Ironic how they both had the same name but one spelled it different. He also had a great head of hair and was a NW1. RIP Brian and Bryan.

Brian(Socks) logged in in 2011 so it was 6 years earlier he wrote the post. I was hoping the rumors about him dying were not true but he would have been back posting as he loved giving advice about hair loss.

This is much more complex though because you're subject to hair fluctuations and even if an outsider might think "ah you're just NW1" the truth is that you personally can feel just like a f*****g Norwood 7 in the making if you're shedding enough in the right places, so the stress is still relatively high...

Yes BDD is stressful, but the mental issues are what's stressing you not the hair

Damn, that’s crazy… written in 2005. Solid post that still reads like the posts of today. The longer the internet has been around the weirder it will be to read old posts/ stories. Pre internet it was limited to published works or maybe someone’s journal / diary. Now you will be able to read many journals of strangers forever.

definitely is scary to think about all that time passing and nothing changing. I’m just thinking … 20 years from now 2040. Life will likley still be just as depressing as it is today. Picture someone reading all our posts today 100 years from now.. sh*t

Reminder that propecia, rogaine and even the fact that baldness is hormone related were all discovered ON ACCIDENT. It might be a few hundred years before a cure tbh
