Quick question about the Japanese market and their safety guidelines in regards to the pharmaceutical industry. Is it generally faster over there to get a product to market? By that I mean, faster than what we have here with phase I-III and everything else?

I already travel to Japan once a year so this would be convenient for me. I don't know if this would be doable though. If this thing comes out and it produces the results we're all hoping for, my guess is there will be a pretty long waiting list for both locals and foreigners.
They can market products just after phase 2. So, yes, it is easier to market acc. to the new regulations.

Still annoying to see those 3/16 lose hair for some reason.that's like 20% miss rate.
I hope the ones that did respond tho kept going up or maintained. We will see soon. Problem is even if they didn't repicel can always say its just phase one and were just testing mainly for safety so lets do another 5 year trial because were still ironing out the kinks to test what is optimal dosage. That would set us back way past the 2018 date

IMO that's one of the big questions - if the 20% miss rate irons itself out and turns into positive growth over time.

I've read that Replicel is claiming the misses are due to shock loss.

If that's true then it seems like the subjects who lost hair would gain hair as more time goes by.

I just read that shiseido phase 2 trials results will be out q4 2017 as they have started in q1 2016. So we got repicel giving their longer term phase 1 this month and at end of year we will hear about shiseido phase 2. Something to look forward too.

Problem is why didnt this work 100% on everyone if this is the root cause of balding regeneration. Maybe somehow those injections didnt migrate to the place they were suppose to like the other patients. Only angle I can think of thats logical. Its just the variance in migration of the cells.those didnt take and settle like the others But the good news it obv works so not a total flop. Just dont be that 1 in 5 or else have to get more shots and try again.

Shock loss seems so crazy for it to be the reason. Shock loss is trama caused from thousands of 1mm holes getting poked out of your head affecting surrounding follicles. Just doesnt seem logical the needle they use could cause such a traumatic reaction from near by follicles

It might be the same reason as Finasteride only working after 6-12 months for some people (the data you're reading is for 6 months after injection), if you use Finasteride you will still lose hair the first months. Keep in mind that this trial is for safety and they've already been speculating that multiple doses are more effective. We'd have to see the 24 month efficacy data to get a good view on what the safety trial injections are doing long term. We're also getting 5 year efficacy data later this year.

24 month efficacy data is the hit or miss data IMO.

Since Relicel uses dermal sheath cells it seems like we should be asking if dermal sheath cells lose inductivity in mass pass culture? I can't find a study that answer this question. Is anyone aware of a study about this?

I urge everyone to read this article. In this article , it clearly say Replicel will grow new hair follicles . I am a NW6 with 4000 grafts 1 year post hair transplant . So it means a lot :)

But is any of that directly from the horse's mouth? And sadly, all talk of creating new follicles in that article is limited to 'theoretically' and 'potentially'.
Replicel meanwhile is doing quite a bit of backpedaling and avoids talking significant regrowth. Make of it what you will.

This was a thing though.

here's an extract from that article
"This entry was posted in Hair Loss Products and tagged cell implantation technology, Hair Cloning, Hair Growth, Hair Loss Treatment, hair multiplication, how to growth hair, Replice, stem cell hair loss on September 9, 2015."

so the article is old and is based upon old data and recently, Replicel mentioned in facebook /twitter that RCH01 is not a cure.

So let's wait for the data and only then we can judge.

This was a thing though.

They are not backpedaling at all. They only ever said it was an anticipated, possible result.
