If you assume Replicel will protect the remaining hairs on the top of your head forever, and you get a hair transplant, you could be sorry later if you lose all the hair on you head except the donor hair (that you had transplanted to the top of your head). You could look peculiar. I advise you to get clarification what became of the 30% of patients who were non-responders at 6-months before you do the transplant. In this case, I think it's best to make a fully informed decision.

Are you a board certified psychologist? If not, then I'm going to defer to the board certified psychologists opinion and reject your opinion. The board certified psychologists disagree with you and they're professionals, they know what they're talking about, and you're just talking from your prejudice.
We will have more data sms clarification from Shiseido before we're able to get the treatment. Until then I'll keep using minoxidil and waiting patiently.

This is why our best bet is to wait for Shiseido trial results. They are doing phase 2 so they have to test for efficacy. I also suspect they will have a greater participant number.

I'm not saying Replicel's treatment will definitely get terminated if it only arrests hair loss. I'm just saying that it's possible. Investors want WOW regrowth, not just stabilization.
But Shiseido owns the Asian rights to this treatment and Shiseido isn't a struggling company that's ruled solely by investor's whims. Plus, the Japanese people are sick of hair loss, finasteride is the only treatment that can arrest hair loss, and there are drawbacks to taking finasteride.
So I do think there's a better than even chance that Shiseido could take Replicel's technology all the way to market in Japan, if Shiseido can establish that the tech will definitely arrest hair loss.

I guess I don't see why it would get canned especially in Japan. They pay millions to go through phase 2, they don't need to necessarily go through phase 3 before going to the market... I get if they then had to pay for phase 3 trials, and regrowth wasn't great. This looks to be a helpful treatment with great benefits, and the investment for sheisido has been made with phase 2 trials... why not bring it to the market?

Also, it's my understanding that Shiseido spent big money on securing land and erecting a big sophisticated building and set that building up for the sole purpose of mass processing cells specifically for the Replicel treatment. I don't think Shiseido will walk away from this effort unless test subjects lose hair while on the Replicel treatment. As long as the treatment at least arrests hair loss I think Shiseido will bring it to market.
