Reputable FUE surgeons Higher Norwood

Hi All,

A bit of background on my situation, started losing my hair real early probably around 20 fast forward 8 years and im at what appears to be a nw5-6.

I've been on rogaine for about 2 years which did little to stop my loss and got on Propecia just recently (6 months) which i feel has halted loss and helped me regrow some hair.

Caught a glimpse of my hair in the mirror last week and said to myself i want to do something about it.

I have looked into FUE as a viable option to help combat my loss and i understand the limitations it has, but a frame for my face would honestly give me a major aesthetic boost to my appearance i believe and with the added benefit of not having a scar on the back of my head.

I was just wondering if there are any ethical surgeons in the world who could possibly do a 2500 graft FUE procedure and help me loose the six head appearance.

I know i may still have a bald patch at the back but cut short i think it will look a hell of a lot better than the prince William style which just makes me old before my time.

Any help and insights will be much appreciated!!!

NW5-6 you'll need way more grafts than 2500. You are looking more at a (first) session of 4000-5000 grafts.

Fred was a nw5 and only had 2.5k grafts obviously he needs more work, but he actually has a hairline now and it looks alright. If you can go for more as swoop said.

Jup true. But if you that route you gotta keep your hair very short imo. Also Fred has curly hair I think, that helps.

Firstly thank you for your replies.

Had some online consultations with a few hair transplant docs.

Generally I've been quoted abt 4000-4500 Fue.

My main goals is to provide a decent hairline and as much coverage as possible in the back.

There's on Doctor in Turkey who i'm actually really interested in as well as 2 in Belgium.

I guess before i take the plunge i need to research and cover all the pros and cons plus think longer term aesthetics as well.

Only thing im a bit worried about is after 4k fue will it deplete my donor and make it look moth eaten, i guess its a case by case basis that determines the actuality of that happening but still a bit apprehensive.

Which Doctor in Turkey? I am saving up as we speak to get one with either *********, or Erdogon, haven't decided which. I think you can't go wrong with either. The prices are insanely cheap too (at least compared to the U.S., where the docs charge like $6-10/graft!!).

Man, a NW5-6 would literally need at least 6000 grafts to not have a see-through appearance, and be some what style worthy. (this is being generous)

3000 of those grafts would just be put at the front alone in most cases.

Surgeons work front to back with graft priority. In a lot of cases you will have to sacrifice the crown density to have a reasonable result. Crown is the least priority, especially for higher norwoods.

Looking into Dr Erdogan.

What was a pleasant surprise is his approach seems extremely professional and not very much oriented to push services or bundle items onto clients, his results also look pretty darn good!

H&W told me from my video and detailed pictures i sent i'd be a good candidate assuming assumptions made are accurate and would need 4.5k grafts as a start then maybe later address the crown.

I've seen a lot of decent results from Hattigen but don't know very much about the practice over there also i think its mainly FUT.

Some people also mentioned to me a few local docs but i didn't feel that anyone locally could really achieve what i was after.

Yes. 4.5k with minimal grafts addressing the crown sounds about right.

FUE is not optimal in your case. Advanced hair loss is better addressed with FUT as FUE cannot harvest enough grafts without depleting the donor area, and making it look thin.

Down the road, FUE for a touch up seems like a good approach.


Not to mention most advanced norwoods typically have thinned out donor areas, and it's best addressed with FUT, because grafts are taken at the middle permanent zone.


After that procedure I can see another strip being taken from the same area which will replicate and over take the old scar. (with FUT, their is always one scar)

Will definitely research into FUT if i do go down that path high on my wish list would be H&W for FUT, funnily enough i was offered FUE as an option too from them with initial consultation.

What i think drew me to DR Erdogan is that he's got results with higher norwoods and the donor areas don't look over harvested.

Also, wondering would it be possible to do FUE and then a future FUT procedure after?

That would be backwards. FUT first then fue after to touch up and possibly address scar if ur happy with the result and don't think u will need another fut.

I'm assuming that's how you addressed your hair loss?
