Revivogen...new formula?

So the first batch of revivogen I got was a thick, dark mixture that had a very slight alcohol scent. The next batch I got was a much lighter mixture, that had a very noticable alcohol scent. Anyone else notice this? Did I get a bunk batch or has revivogen changed their formula slightly?

I recently started my first bottle of Revivogen so I can't comment on past formulas. However, I'll tell you this: Mine is like you described. Light with an alcohol scent. I also don't see any scalp staining at all like guys have described in the past. They may have changed it.

Exactly, the other stuff stained my scalp a bit, but was easier on my scalp. This stuff reminds me of minoxidil a bit...nowhere near as bad, but still more alcohol

Mine makes my skin red immediately after application. :(

It doesn't burn or irritate it too much, but I hope it's not bad for it as it is very visibly a bright red after applying.

Nothing so far for me. Only been using it for just about a week though. If I don't see a halting of hair loss by month 12, I will stop it. It really looks like it should do alot though, especially when used in a regimen with topical spironolactone.

I bought revivogen recently, I used it twice ..I couldnt bear the smell.its too strong and its wine red in color. I bought it in december. Is it the same version u guys refering to? If they dont have that pungent smell I wud love to use it..Let me know if they've changed recently.

I don't think it's that bad. I mean, I wouldn't want to open the bottle and smell it 24/7, but it's not really offensive.

They may have changed up the formula for sure, because I've read alot of people saying they cant stand the smell or the scalp stain. The smell doesn't bother me, and it doesn't stain my scalp one bit. It does leave the hair greasy though, thats for sure. No big deal though, just use it before bed.

You guys have overlooked one thing. You have to shake the stuff to get it mixed up properly. It hasn't changed at all since I am using it.

I shake it...it's still significantly lighter, and much more "alcoholy" Also the label used to be bronze now it's gold. I hope revivogen is not dilluting their formula...

I shake the hell out of it before applying it, and at least 3-4 more times while applying it. It begins as a semi-dark brown formula when you first draw it out of the bottle with the dropper. If you do that, then just hold it up to light and leave it in the dropper, it will seperate in a matter of about 1-2 seconds. It then turns into the dark brown falling to the bottom, and the top becomes yellow. I'm guessing it's a suspension mixture and it seperates very easily. This is why I think it's very important to shake it vigorously, not only once, but a few times during your application.

From the look of it, It seems the fatty acids seperate from the rest of the solution.

yeah, I love the smell of this stuff and I do believe it to be helping. I use minoxidil but i think this is helping prevent further hair loss. I am getting compliments now after less than a year of both minoxidil and revivogen.

Did you begin both revivogen and minoxidil at the same time haymes?

And how is it working for the rest of you?

Yes, I started them both at the same time. Kirkland 5 percent, and revivogen, saw palmetto pills (extract), biotin and vitamin supplements.

I was once using Revivogen for a year or so. It did nothing to me. Anyways, when I got it from the US (I live in israel) The liquid was very light in color, but after opening the bottle, the color changed over time. I guess it's some sort of oxidation ocurring after you open the bottle and air comes in. I also remember the color differed from batch to batch. I guess that the fresher the batch is the stronger the original light color is.
It's better to keep the bottles in the refrigerator to minimize oxidation.
