Revivogenists?

I've been on it for 3 weeks...besides Nizoral, which I really started using for dandruff and itch, Revivogen is the first thing I've tried.

I'm hoping for frontal regrowth, too, as all I have so far is temporal loss, hairline recession, and diffuse thinning.

Probably gonna see the derm soon about finasteride.

How long have you been using Revivogen?

instead of going to a derm. go to a actual doctor that will still prescribe it to you. and as well track your progress if you have any sides. and run some tests......derms are useless

I've been on it a few days now and have the same hair issues. Hope we get some regrowth!

What revivogen are you using?

I'm using just the scalp treatment with the eyedropper, not the shampoo or conditioner (I don't need it because I have Nioxin, and good ol' Pantene seems to thicken my hair better than that).

Anyway, the scalp treatment seems to really make my hair and scalp look greasy and look even thinner after applying. I won't care if it does its job otherwise, but a few weeks into using it and I hate how it makes my head feel.

im pretty sure all you need is the Scalp Treatment with the eyedropper. not sure if that shampoo will do much.

No, I agree...that's why I didnt buy it...the manufacturer says it just compliments the stuff...

I've been using Revivogen for about a week and I have found too that it is quite greasy.

But are you guys just applying it once a day or twice? At the moment I am just using it along with spironolactone 5% in the evening.

Do any of you guys use spironolactone with Revivogen??

Revivogen is the first straight-up hair loss product I've used. I have Nizoral, but I started using that for dandruff associated with the early stages of losing my hair. I also have Nioxin, but that's just because I like how it feels. I know it won't stop or reverse any hair loss.

I'm in the early stages (most people would say I'm not balding, but I know just how much hair I've lost), so Revivogen was something I selected because it was natural and I just want to keep what I have.

But yes, the greasiness sucks...it makes your hair stick together and look thinner, so now I apply 1ml at night and shower in the morning. That works fine. I'm in Week 3 with Revivogen and I'll give it 6 months to see my hair loss slow/stop and my hair strengthen (as it claims to do). If it doesn't work, I'll go on finasteride.

I would not hold my breath waiting for this to grow frontal hair. Revivogen basically should be considered for its effect on DHT and subsequently meant to stabilize further hair loss. Some regrowth is possible in certain individuals, but nominal at best. If you are seeking true regrowth you should be considering minoxidil as an adjunct.

I hear you, but bear in mind I am in the extremely early phase of my hair loss, relatively speaking. I don't have really have any slick bald areas, even the bare areas have miniturized hairs. It may be wishful thinking, but if Revivogen does what it claims to be able to do - boost those suckers up - then that's fine with me. I just wanna stop it before a true regrowth treatment a la minoxidil is necessary.

I've been using this product on and off for years. I doubt you'll have any regrowth from using this, but update us if you do. It's great if your in the earliar stages of loss.

I have used the shampoo for some months and I don't think i had any improvement, but it's a ncie feeling in your scalp. Very fresh.

I've been using Revivogen shampoo for over a month now, it does make my hair appear thicker and more manageable. Think I'll stick with it for a few months, see what happens.

I used Revivogen for 7 months or so and it maybe slowed down my hairloss but there was no regrowth at all, as for thickening the hairs up I'm not even sure it done that to tell you the truth. I'd definately say it be best for people in the earliest stages of hairloss not what its made out to be in my opinion though. Still different people react differently so good luck with those of you who are using it.

I dont mean to p*ss on anyones revivogen parade but as a guy who used revivogen for 10 months (because I thought I could use something natural to stabalise my hairloss)

I can tell you all I did during that time was go balder - best thing I did was throw the revivogen in the bin , get on finasteride and finally I could go out again in the evenings rather then sitting at home with a head full of chip fat - sorry I mean "scalp therapy"

Im not saying it doesnt work - it MAY work - but if you want to gamble your follicles on a MAY then good luck to all.

Having said that their is a guy called English on here who has pics of great results with minoxidil and revivogen

What stage of loss were you at?

One of the things that scares me most about all these treatments is the chance that they can accellerate the lost, via shedding that never stops.

i was a diffuse norwood 2 basically early stage hairloss - thinness but no "obvious" bald spot but definetly noticeable thinning - I didnt lose that much on my hairline while on rev (was also on spironolactone and tricomin too) but definetly saw more loss on the crown/vertex - if you do a search on my username you can see my progress pics

to be honest with you I did think at one point that rev might have been working on my hairline but again I couldnt be sure and I did think that th studies of the ingrediants of rev had some merit - if revivogen was as easy to apply like rogaine foam I may have kept using it alongside finasteride just as an add on

I was scared to start finasteride for the same reasons (and a few others) but in the end I wanted to do the only proven thing to keep my hair - sorry to keep sounding like an advert for finasteride - I didnt shed on propecia but I definetly did shed heavily on rogaine foam but it wasnt so noticeable and I feel the progress I have made in slowing/stopping my hairloss on finasteride has been well worth it.

For the record im not suggesting what you do or dont do to your body to keep your hair just giving my experience with these products

Off topic, I know...but I was wondering if anyone had gotten the generic finasteride here on gourmetstylewellness.com's product center. I know you normally need a prescription for propecia...is gourmetstylewellness.com.com encouraging black market purchase? lol

I was thinking that I would go this route if my derm gives me sh*t. If they can't see a vertex bald spot, I dunno if they'll give me a finasteride script. You think they would take your word for it when you say you have far less hair than a year or two ago.

When I first got on finasteride I bought 100 batch from here. It was good, no problem but now I am on propecia because I get it for real cheap.
