What does Dr. Umar propose to do for youngndumb? Are you his spokesperson?

I know from Dr Umar's website that he occasionally has the rare opportunity to work with individuals on repair cases . I made Dr Umar aware of youngndumb's situation . I am not his spokesperson - only a patient of his .

Below is Dr Umar's direct reply :
"Can you have "youngndumb" email me directly as soon as possible. It saddens me to read the word suicide with regards to a strip scar.

Dr Umar

It will be up to youngndumb to contact Dr Umar personally . He only wrote me back via email today with this response to ask youngndumb to contact him directly. I do hope that he will contact him.

I just don't want to see this guy get taken advantage of any more. It seems that since he came to these forums for help that people have swarmed on him telling him this and that.

I highly doubt that he needs anything like BHT. A simple trychophitic scar revision is very well all he needs.

FUE does not always mean body hair transplants. FUE can be used for remaining scalp hair as well. I will say that strip procedures is what got him to this point and in my opinion not an option(triclosure included). But again I am biased because strip botched me as well in a bad way . There was no intention of trying to take advantage of anyone here or swarming on him - I was simply offering a gesture of help as I know what he is going through and I know the relief that I have felt since being able to move on with my life. It is up to him if he wants to discuss his case further with Dr Umar and see what he can do for him. I personally thought Dr Umar's response and invitation was very thoughtful.

Not to get into an argument with you but have you seen what a trychophytic closure can do in a revision case? I have. It is a far more viable option than FUE since it actually reduces the surface area of the scar instead of just masking it with more grafts. A scar is a scar - whether there is hair in it or not.

Don't get me wrong, FUE into a scar has it's place but if the entire scar can be revised to be thinner then I think it's a no-brainer that that is the way to go.

And I'm not talking "strip procedure" here - I was just talking about a scar revision.

Your intentions may be pure, but I have to say that they certainly don't look it. First michael barry displays your case on the forums at the same time that youngndumb makes his post. THen you show up on the forums offering comments directly from Dr. Umar.

Seems very suspect. Veeeerry suspect.

Not me,
We both agree that no argument is necessary on this. That was not my intention at all. The closure technique may very well be what is needed to help him. Your points are very clear . I was only passing along the correspondence that I had made on his behalf after reading his previous post . I know the state of depression he is in and I dont wish it on anyone. I will say nothing more . I was only trying to offer helpful advice to which I hope he will at least gain further input regarding his situation . I do think it was good for him to bring this out . Granted there is alot of information being brought forth to him and I hope he will find some of it useful to help him get on with his life. I was stuck wearing a hairpiece for 13 years to cover my scars and find a way to get through it and live some sense of normalcy . I certainly dont wish having to do that on anyone.
