Should be fine, as i sometimes use the liquid on a wet scalp with no problems, even increases the amount of minoxidil absorbed, just be careful of side effects like heart palpitations or dizziness.

I don't know about wetting your head but I wet my fingers with cold water so the foam doesn't melt, nothing excessive just enough to get them cold

I got my best results with Rogaine Foam by applying it to a hydrated scalp. It DOES make your heart race a little but if it thickens hair...

So I have always applied my rogain foam to wet hair and my heart has been racing. I seriously thought that I was just stressed from work/school but rogain is causing this? Is there any literature on this because that makes me a little worried.

Not definitely, but likely. Racing heart is a possible side effect from minoxidil, and applying to a hydrated scalp increases absorption.

As long as you don't have any heart issues you should be okay, but if it worries you, start applying it to a dry scalp, as per instructions.

Very interesting, are there any studies that back up absorbtion ( and results) being better on a wet scalp ?

I could us a lot less foam if I wet my hair a little

Your scalp needs to be hydrated, not just 'wet.' I would suggest shampooing to achieve this. And yes, you can use less doing it this way.

Any studies to support this works better ?
