It says "Stop use and ask a doctor if unwanted facial hair growth occurs".
-Does it occur if we apply it on our face or although we just apply it on our scalp and not our face, the facial hair gets effected and grows more? Is it fatal to use it on face?(It says "do not use it on your face")

Note:I have no facial hair(have very little colourless hairs not a beard) my age is 24. After applying to my scalp my hands get wet with minoxidil, if i put my hands to my side of my face (the beard area) ?

"I wonder if there is any relation between using rogaine on your scalp thus your facial hairs get affected" sounds strange.

Any ideas please

I never put Rogaine on my face intentially, so I can't speak to the fact that it encourages facial hair. As far as the potential side effect of inducing fascial hair growth with the application of Rogaine only to the scalp, it never did for me. But how did you get the idea that it could be fatal if put on your face ; ) Wow, that would be some kind of side effect! However, I can imagine that it might cause some irritation if used in that way though. I've been using Rogaine about 6 years with no side effects other than the occasional itchy scalp. It's good stuff, keep using it.

Pall -

Immediately after applying and rubbing minoxidil on your scalp, wash your hands w/ soap and water.

The "warning" about facial hair regrowth is , I believe, more due to systemic absorbtion of the minoxidil rather than having some residue on your hands and then rubbing your face.

For example, back in the mid to late 90s when I first started using minoxidil - a few months went by and I noticed that my 3:00 shadow (beard) was coming in a bit earlier in the day. I think that's what they're talking about.

I can't give you any specifics as to why not - but I'm pretty sure you don't want to apply the stuff to your face - even in the hopes of getting your beard to come in thicker.

I experienced facial hair growth while using it.

Blah. I get to be a bearded bald woman.

Waxing works great though!
