Hey all,
Quick bit of advice really. I'm thinking of buying some rogaine foam in an attempt to thicken up my temples. Currently I'm taking 0.5 propecia and nizoral every other day. I think after 8 months of propecia and nizoral I have had pretty good results with maintaining, and possibly getting slightly thinker...but, my main issues are thickening up my temples as these are clearly the worst areas!!

Do you guys think this would help? I've always been a little aprehensive about rogaine due to the shedding. I was thinking of putting it on before bed on dry hair and washing in the morning.

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated! :)

Cheers
Rich.

I have gotten good results with Rogaine on my temples. Although it did take about 9 months before it was significantly noticeable .

I've been using the liquid for 13weeks and already I have some temple regrowth, it will take more time for the new hair to thicken up obviously. However the "shed" only lasted for the first 5weeks and bear in mind I have achieved these results already without the use of an anti-androgen, so you should definitely see some good results in the temples if you combine foam with finasteride.

Thanks for the input guys :) though there may be a slight difference here, I wanted to put the romaine foam on through styled hair before bed as I don't wash until the morning. In my hair would be fibre putty and hair spray. And it would only be before bed not the morning...do you think that would make any difference?
Cheers

Been using minoxidil on my temples for about 1.5 years now, definitely better now than where I was. Still getting very gradual regrowth.

Hi Guys,

Back with another quick qestion on th rogaine foam and how i wanted to use it.

I've been reading up on this today and found out using it once a day isnt such a bad thing as there is as it stays on or working on the scalp for 22hrs.

So my question is this:

if i apply at night say 9-10pm, wake up in the morning and go through my usual routine of hair washing etc, will this make the rogaine lose contact with my scalp thus gving me 12 hrs though the day witout contact, thus not working as well?

thoughts and advice welocme. (i know i'm being slightly over the top in regards to makin the jump, but all help is very much appreciated)

Been using Foam on my temples for almost 3 years, it sadly has not really offered any noticable gains. I did get tiny white hairs but they never have grown into normal hairs, as for maintainence id say not really if anything its been about same if not slightly worser.

You may get lucky though.... alot of people do say it depends if you had any active hair there in the 1st place....

But as I say u gotta give it a go cos theres really nothing else out there to try apart from a hair transplant or hair piece :)
