Rogaine Foam smell is so bad....

I hate it so much I think I am going to stop using it when this can is up which is the last one I have and just stick to Dr Lees.

Its that awful cheap soapy "fresh" smell that gets me.....I have been using this stuff since the month it came out and just can't get used to it.

it does smell cheap . it should be scentless . i dont know what rogaine were thinking.
i also dont like the way my hair looks after some of the foam sticks to it .

I never noticed a smell after a few seconds, and it absorbed so much quicker than dr. lee's stuff does. I could hide the use of foam from someone, but wouldn't be able to with xandrox 15 plus. that stuff takes over an hour to absorb.

Never noticed a smell after i put it on my head. Used it for about 1 1/2 months on the front.

I only use the generic stuff cuz I am poor. LOL. First Member's Mark or something like that, and then Kirkland. I haven't noticed any smells with those.

Has there been any studies about the effectiveness of generic against Rogaine?

I always have a ceiling fan on...thats probably part of it. Stupid reason but I think thats part of it.

I had wanted to use the Rogaine foam cuz it seemed a lot easier, but stuck to the regular liquid Rogaine because I read bad reviews regarding the smell. Does the generic foam have the same bad smell?

There is no generic foam.

I don't mind the smell at all. The best part of the product is after it dries you can run your fingers through it and it acts the same as gel does.

i had an ex girlfriend who actually liked the smell of rogaine foam. always trying to smell my head after i put it on lol.


personally, i think it smells fine. liquid rogaine smells the same if not worse.... not to mention its greasy and disgusting.

The smell is not that bad but the "fragrance" gave me an allergic reaction after a year of prolonged use!
