Rogaine foam Yes or No?

Well a little back story is in order. I was on fincar from united pharmacies Last March - October and being a moron, I never had any money to carry on with it and stopped in october. So I'm back at a stage where i would've been before, my hairline is receeded deeply on the right side and not so deep on the left. Luckily however my hair is still damned thick apart from a tiny bit of thinning at the crown and the hairline which is a little decimated. It's not noticable at all because my hair is shoulder length and covers the thinning.

I'd really like my temples back to at least a decent norwood two level, so I can tie my hair back and such so I'm wondering. If I was to start using foam on the temples, would I be able to grow them back in to a decent level? Obviously i intend on starting fincar and nizoral again asap.

the other big thing is, what's the worst possible shed on the hairline going to be like? I don't want my hairloss to suddenly appear to everyone in a matter of weeks. That's be mortifying.

Input? :hairy:

its very difficult to say whether foam would help your temples at all,for me personally its helped a little but mot much, youll never know til you try.

as for the shedding,i shed pretty bad with foam but itll come back within a month or two :)

it depends on how long you've lost those hairs on the temple. I've had 'thinning' there for awhile, but never completely bare. So the foam has helped thicken the existing hairs and has brought in new vellus. Not sure if the vellus will turn true terminal, but there is so much vellus that it thickens up the area.

i have been on foam for 2 months and no shedding. it's a gamble, you could shed a lot but just remember itll come back so you don't have anything to lose.

Well I can still feel fuzz on my hairline, it's not thick fuzz at all but it's fuzz nonetheless.. So I figure there's hope for it yet. I've only been thinning for two years at most and it's been a very slow progession (Thank god) but at the same time, whatever pace of thinning I'm still only eighteen and to be honest, I really, really love my hair.

So on that note, I figure it's probably worth it. Although I'd appreciate any more innput from people. If I nothing changes my mind, I'll be ordering a four months supply of foam, finasteride and nizoral on monday.

I'm hoping the 6 months of avodart is all the sheding I will see now that I have started rogaine. I dont think I will be able to stand a rogaine shed...hopefully all the hairs that were shed-prone happened with the avodart loss......
