Rogaine + Kirkland not a good idea together?

Hey folks,

Its been a while since i posted but im happy to say that ive finally taken the big plunge into minoxidil!

Its been 1 month already and i've been tentatively using rogain foam and kirland mostly during the day before going to work and just kirkland in the evenings before knocking out. One of the major concerns i have is whether or not its ok to be mixing the two together. ie: sometimes i find it difficult to apply the foam on my crown because i have medium length hair so i usually use it on my hairline only. I then whip out Kirkland, apply the minoxidil via dropper to the crown area by means of poking my scalp with it, i use about 1.5ml each application. that seemed to be the best solution i found inorder to refrain from the greasiness.

Because the kirkland liquid moves around my head, it sometimes mixes with my rogaine application along my hairline. Is that ok? or should i stick with using 1 application seperate from the other? Also because i use the dropper for the kirkland, do i HAVE to rub it into my scalp? or is it ok to have it sit on it and let it naturally evaporate away? (making sure its applied to the correct areas of course)

To be honest, it has been a scary trip so far.. I am "shedding" at the moment, been so the past 2-3 weeks and visibly it does seem my head was bombarded, on the plus side i do notice darker and longer peach fuzz along my hairline.

My regime also includes:
nano shampoo ( which i will probably stop using )
Nizoral 2%
finasteride ( proscar cut to 1.25mg )
Biotin & Hair, Skin, Nails vitamins.

Thanks for your feedback!

Kirkland and rogaine foam are effectively the same thing, nothing bad will come from mixing them, but I don't know that anything good will come from it either.

That said some people have better responses to the foam and some to the liquid so it's not a bad idea to try. for example, using the foam in the morning and the liquid in the evening

hey guys,

I stopped using kirkland because my scalp started to become extremely itchy and i started to flake. i tried T-Gel while switching off with nizoral but that doesnt seem to help. i am now sticking with rogaine Foam only.

as im approaching my 2nd month, im not sure of my progress yet. it seems i lost more thick hairs but i do see shrouds of miniature hairs which i hope will grow out. will update again soon.
