Hello everyone, since I had horrible sides with finasteride, I have to decided to use Rogaine (5%) with Nizoral. What are the odds of any regrowth and possible sides. Currently, I am a norwood 2.5-3 and losing a good amount of head on the crown.

Thank You

All depends on how much hair you have left. finasteride is the best at stopping hairloss. Rogaine is a growth stimulant.

I'm not a doctor so I'm not qualified to give medical advice, but have you tried Dutasteride aka Avodart?

I had horrible side effects on finasteride but so far on Dutasteride I've had little to no side effects.

Hi,

How long have you been using dutasteride for and has it been effective in terms of hair loss. I thought dutasteride was just a higher amount of Finasteride so shouldn't the side effects be prevalent?

I suggest you S5 cream..it's a must for you, after the finasteride is not an option for you any more  You have Growth stimulant(Minoxidil) and very weak DHT inhibitor (Nizoral 2% keto),but you have no DHT inhibitor so... this combination is deffinitely bad..you need something to stop the male pattern baldness ..and the Nizoral is too weak to handle this,so minoxidil alone is a very bad idea. ! I made the same mistake... :shakehead:

Ben: Amazing regrowth man!! It sucks that you had to drop it due to unfortunate circumstances. I don't think that I am willing to risk my money, hairline and health for "unproven" treatment, many of which I have already researched on and does not have the same effectiveness as finasteride.

Maximilliandreams: I have also considered S5 cream, but I have read mixed reviews on it. Was it effective for you in the crown/hairline etc? Did you use it with rogaine/nizoral or a standalone product? Finally, did you have any side effects?

Speaking of which, I have been using Rogaine foam for nearly 2 weeks now, and unfortunately I have developed some prevalent side effects such as wrinkles on brow and baggy eyes. I do not believe that it is due to stress, and decided to drop Rogaine due to cost/side effects.

Is there any hope for me now?

Thank You
