Rogaine questions from a long time Propecia user

Hi all. I've been on Propecia for coming on to three years this December, and am considering starting Rogaine. I was wondering what I can expect. When hair shedding might happen, and how drastic that hair shedding will be? When I can expect to see results, and what kind of results? Can you get a fair bit of your hair thickness back, or just a little?

I've read the Rogaine website and the guide on here, and the guide on here unsurprisingly is a little less optimistic, suggesting results about 6 months in after and thinner hair for months 1-3. The website suggests shedding might happen within the first two weeks, and results within four months. Not sure what to believe here? Does anybody have experience here?

How well you react to Minoxidil depends on heaps of factors, but it's just luck of the draw basically. Some people barely maintain (in conjunction with finasteride too), some get modest regrowth, some get explosive regrowth. I am of the camp who got incredible regrowth on minoxidil, after maintaining/modestly regrowing on finasteride + Keto.

I had a shed like 2-5 weeks into my minoxidil treatment, then starting from like 9-10 weeks into the treatment, I was starting to see great results. Only been on it for 3½~ months now so how it will turn out in full is yet to be seen.

I'm thinking of starting minoxidil as the front of my head is fairly thin in a U shape now and I have hardly any hair on my temples after nearly a year of taking 1.25mg of finasteride daily so I've actually LOST hair on finasteride....yeah... Also, the finasteride is legit and bought from a reputable pharmacy so I'm taking the real thing.

I regret shaving my head in some ways as I could pull long hair off decently with no scalp showing but since I've started regrowing my hair for a month now I can see small areas where my scalp is visible so I have to comb my hair perfectly and use my fingers to shape it and hope to god it's not a windy day.

If it get's any worse I'll just shave it all off until the day I die and kiss romance goodbye.
