I've been on rogaine for 8 months and its tough to tell if rogaine is making my hair worse or if my hairloss is just getting worse. Has anyone ever had rogaine grow hair that is just crappier then before accept all over the top of their head. I use it on my hairline and vertex but i did put all over the top at first but then stopped cause it was too much of a hassle and I thought that hair was fine. I also thought the vertex was not balding either I was just putting it on just in case but now the hair all on the top of my head seems thinner(possibly not sure if it actually is) and gets tangled more easly. so is it possible that rogaine did his or is that just wishful thinking

-thanks

You usually lose hair before it grows back with Rogaine (and most hair loss products), so you might have shed and it may grow back with continued use.

However, although Rogaine is mainly used to regrow or maintain hair, apparently an unwanted side effect can actually be hair loss.

Some people will respond better to it than others. Some will regrow, some will maintain their current hair.
