Rogaine route

Hey everybody,

I'm 22 almost 23 and have been noticing my receding hairline gradually increase since I was about 21. I'm not losing hair at my crown, only receding at my front. I have seen a doctor about it and he said basically my only options were Propecia and rogaine. I'm not willing to take Propecia (i know the percentages of men who have side effects are extremely small but I tend to have bad luck), so I was planning on going the Rogaine route. I went to the pharmacy and picked up rogaine but when I read the description it basically said it was only effective for people who are thinning/losing hair at their crown. My doctor was well aware I was only receding and he seemed very sure that I should give rogaine a try. Has anyone here with only a receding hairline tried rogaine and found it effective? Worth the buy? Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks

Rogaine can work anywhere you apply it.
It certainly slowed the progression of recession for me so I would say give it a try, so long as you are happy to stay on it permanently.

By the way, you may want to apply it just once a day initially to see if its enough to maintain.

Thanks! Did you only have a receding hairline too? and aren't you supposed to experience a lot of shedding during your first month?
