Hi peeps,

If RU58841 is applied topically, are there any safety issues when it comes to sperm/semen issues/fetal developmental issues. I know there are some concerns about finasteride and dutasteride (oral) when it comes to having a baby, although some have said these are negleible.

So does RU58841 carry the same concern? I dont know if its absorbed into the blood screen and found in semen or not. Bryan you know about some of the earlier studies, was there anything on this? Also, it is known that RU58841 breaks down into some components which are weaker, but have a longer half life; can these have any side effects on sperm or the development of the fetus if found in semen?

Sensible comments please.

Not to my knowledge. I've read most of the RU58841 studies, and I don't recall ever reading about that in any of them.

Not that I can recall.

I don't recall any systemic side effects from topical RU58841 in any of the in vivo animal experiments. It appears to be pretty safe.

Many thanks Bryan.

By the way, did they carry out any serum/blood/sperm/semen studies in the earlier studies or have they not been mentioned full stop?

Thanks again
