I'm gonna use it instead of PPG. It's said to be less irritating and my scalp does not seem to like PPG very much.

I'm following you pretty close right now as I'm awaiting my RU which should be here soon. I'm also using fluridil right now and just started spectral DNC.

I'm hoping that RU agrees with me as it's my last hope, I won't mess with finasteride again.

50mg might be too little though.

Monty are you really sure that your RU is yellowish?
I really don't want to be paranoid but.....Monty if your RU is yellowish and lakota's and mine are white and they're supposed to be from the same batch then what does this tell us? Your COA has productiondate 2010/10/07 as well?
If so then how is it possible that there is a difference in colour between yours and mine?

If there's no manufacturedate on your COA then your RU could be from a newer batch and that might explain why the colour is slightly different. The whole batch I received my RU from was only 218g it says on the COA. That's not much, only 20 orders of 10g. Could well be that your RU is a newer batch. Odd that there's no manufacturedate on your COA.

Actually, its color is not very important. Some customers told us that pale yellow RU was better, but others told us that white/off-white RU was better. In fact, even the 0.001% content of segment (which is not harmful) could change its color, but its active content is also above 99.2%. During manufacture, there one step process, which is decolorization by active charcoal. After declorization, its color should be white or off-white. But sometimes, remained trace segment could make its color pale yellow.So please don't worry about its color. If you have other questions, please reply us and have a talk.

i think the stuff is legit, even if it's pale yellow. I have been using for four days and I believe there is a marked decrease in amount of shedding. can't say there has been any regrowth, but it's way too soon to say either way on that front.

i have been using 150 mg/day in about 6 ml of half etoh, half minoxidil (which has pg in it) because my pure pg hasnt arrived yet. i make a fresh batch before each use, which i think is key, esp if you're gonna put it in sth like minoxidil. leave the rest in the freezer in the meantime.

i may consider cutting down the dose once i feel confident that the 150 mg a day has stopped my shedding, but for now i really need to stop my shedding asap, so i am willing to eat the extra cost.

I know because when you ask them they claim they get it from overseas , also i asked the company that starts with a k and they said they buy bulk from them even gave me the boss's name and company name ,etc,also apparently now the company that starts with a k is now selling there ru or 400 dollars for 10 grams including shipping ...so that's at least better news

I asked Henry if the RU that they are selling comes from China or was made by ontario chemicals. Here's his answer:


Thank you for your email. In fact, we sometimes ordered some from other suppliers when our stock was out. But we control its quality by further analysis and purification. If it couldn't reach our standard, we had to do further purification until its purity satisfy our standard.
We compared the NMR analysis and found there was little more impurities than our RU. But here I am not going to tell you which suppliers they are. To my finding, there are seven RU suppliers all around world, and 5 of them are in China.
Therefore, even we sometimes order some from other supplier, we control its quality under our standard.

Seriously,after only three days of application isnt it a little to soon to notice any difference? Could be a coincident...or wishful thinking.Sometimes one sheds more hairs and sometimes less. Ofcourse I hope it's due to the RU.

yeah its definitely doing something then.

if one can rub their hair and about 100 odds hairs easily come out then a few days into treatment the same process only yields about 3-5 hairs...then thats a significant difference. It cant be down to just "you may of shed less hairs that day".


Monty, since your scales are messed up how much liquid are you using then? 2ml, 3ml or more?

And are you using RU in the AM + PM or are you just using it once per day?

Seriously, if you don't have a digital weighingscale then go get one on ebay that can measure in mgs.Like this one. As you can see they are not expensive. It would be a waste to put on to much RU since it's so expensive and you might risk your health.

I'm using 4ml solution.

Been mixing 3ml perfumers alcohol (which has an unknown amount of pg in it) with 1ml pg. This makes a solution that is fairly sticky. Sticky enough that I can feel its residue around my hair line up to about an hour after.

I'm totally guessing how much I used last night at about 150mgs. I lined it up like the good old days cough cough so I am probably not far off but who knows.

I made up 2 days worth last night so tonight I will be using the same amount exactly as yesterday, I know that much.

I'll feedback tomorrow, there is a chance it's a fluke but quite improbable.

I got a good scale at "head shop" it loks like a CD case. You will want to pop out the batteries after you weigh out your months supply, otherwise the batteries will die quickly....

It only does .1grams though and I kept piling the stuff on and it never got to .1 till there was a ton of it on there. They are old and haven't used them in a while so maybe they have bit the dust!?

for example if I put my 2x2 in. foil on the scale it usually reads about .15 if I put 50 mgs. of RU on the foil it goes to it reads .20

Yours wont give you those readings?
