I've done a little research on "RUM," but some dates all the way back to 1994 which is a little discouraging. What is going on with this? Did the maker just drop it or is it still being tested? gourmetstylewellness.com any thoughts?

from what i understand, this formula is the closest thing to a cure that anyone has ever heard of.

dont know how to go about gettng a batch though.

Yea I hear it's the closest to a cure also but I didn't know if it's still being tested or if it's never coming out. Things like this makes me think the makers are being paid off to keep it a secret. The pharmaceutical companies don't want to lose profit. It would eliminate propecia.

I guess it means that it haults hair loss dead in it's tracks. no?
i dont think we'll see anything in our lifetime that will regrow all of our hair. ?

"RUM" was the abbreviation used to describe the myristic acid ester of RU58441, which was investigated as a potential prodrug form of the compound a couple of years ago. Unless you have a peculiar fascination with that particular ester, you'll have better luck finding information by searching for the drug itself.

a few guys on hairlosshelp claim to be using it, to find out more go on there and search it, and pm the guys who are using it, you have to mix it yourself though, as it comes raw.

The RU58841 was from a French outfit originally. Supposedly the compound was merely an androgen receptor blocker that had three times the affinity for androgen receptors than DHT does. It can be purchased from a Chinese online pharmacy. Its very expensive and the batches they mix vary in effectivness if what the hairsite.com posters say is true. The mix that has an awful odor supposedly works better. The stuff is highly flamable, and does not have a long shelf life.

Will Brink, life extension writer, knew some bodybuilders (wealthy ones) who had some private formulations made for personal use (mucho expensive). According to these guys (veterans of Propecia, prox, etc.), it was the best stuff ever put on their heads as far as retaining hair. Problem is, even if you cut androgens with literal castration, youre still not going to "grow back" much of what was lost. Damage (proboably by the immune system) and skin changes around the follicle, have been done if the hair has been lost for a while.

Im still wishing someone could formulate a "all in one" topical to include an anti-androgen, copper peptide, SOD's and catalese (protect from oxidative damage), and a nitric oxide or plain ol' minoxidil all in one topical. Affordable too. Its too much of a pain in the *** to use two or three topicals a day.
