Does s5 cream works?

in the 3 p's list posted by admin appears - 1) propecia 2) rogaine 3) tricomin 4) topical spironolactone 5% 5) revivogen

Is this topical spironolactone really effective? Or is minoxidil better? anyone using both?

I would like to know the answer to this as well as I am considering topical spironolactone.

Though when comparing minoxidil to spironolactone as to whats better, well they are different, so you can't really compare. spironolactone is an anti-androgen like finasteride, which is more for maintenance. Minoxidil is a growth stimulant for regrowth. I'm guessing it'd probably be best to use both.

Also gonna supplement it with 1x per day nanominox-fms

I apply spironolactone in the morning before work. Apply nanominox when i get home at 6pm and then spironolactone again at around 10:30pm about 30mins before bed.

I used to do the same regimen with flutagel instead of spironolactone and had great results.

spironolactone stops DHT binding to the androgen....

Therefore , if you were to have spironolactone applied to your head twice a day for 6 months , then in those 6 months you will have lost much less(don't know exactly how effective it is) of what you would have lost if you didn't have spironolactone on. Therefore it is a great treatment for Androgenetic Alopecia but it is annoying to apply. The people who would get the best benefit out of it would be the people with shaved heads. One thing to note is that you will not see any regrowth from spironolactone unlike minoxidil and Finasteride. This is why some people claim it hasn't done anything for them.

So for those people with shaved heads applying spironolactone 5% cream in the morning and at night will dramatically reduce how much hair you will lose. You will still lose hair because it does not fully disable the Androgenetic Alopecia process. It would be a great accessory to use with finasteride. Now if we could get our hands on a commercial product of RU58841 then we'd be able to nearly completely halt the Androgenetic Alopecia process without any side effects.

I recommend fully using the S5 cream especially if you have a shaved head to slow down male pattern baldness, just don't expect to go any hair from it.

I have some ridiculously thin hairs that have been ravaged by DHT and I am expecting them to start thickening up due to halting the dht damage.

Why would i not see any regrowth? If i still have an active hair follicle that dht is stopping hair from growing, if i inhibit dht from binding why would the hair not grow normally?

I use the term regrowth as re-awakening follicles.

Since those hairs are still alive they aren't dead and therefore can't be re-awakened. When the hair has gone below the skin level and has miniaturized to the point where it no longer is visible the hair has officially gone dormant. Minoxidil can bring these hairs back.

What you can expect is some thickening , but don't expect too much since the hair follicle will still be getting attacked just at a much lower level.

Is flutamide a much stronger anti-androgen then as I got some really good re-growth at my temples? I guess it could have been that the hair follices were not actually dormant and just thickened up really well.

Rework24, I've heard that spironolactone has a noticable smell. Can you elaborate on this? does it smell really bad? or just a strong scent? You say you put it on before work, I'm wondering if people notice the smell, or that its even on. It is greasy?

I've been using spironolactone 5% creme from dr. lee (minoxidil.com) for about a week and it does smell bad, but ONLY if you put it right in front of your nose. Otherwise, i don't notice a smell at all.

I have my hair reasonably short like guard 3 on the clippers and it doesnt make my hair greasy.

So are you guys all on Dr. Lee's spironolactone? I wondering if there is a difference in smell between his and the S5 cream from this site.. Also is the formula different or the same.. I wonder which is more effective.

Well I am about to find out. I have never used spironolactone before but just ordered the S5 today. I will keep you guys posted.

Dr.Lees has Aloe vera and some other stuff..


S5 has the more potent formula but the only thing that will really make a difference is the spironolactone anyways and my guess is the retonic acid might adversely effect my skin thats why I use Dr.lees.
