So I went to a dermatologist today and he confirmed mild thinning and mild recession on the temples. I am a 22 year old male. Father is bald, no idea what norwood he is because he keeps his head naked now. I am starting finasteride today and also purchased Nizoral 1%. Should I start with min/rogaine as well or should I feel these two treatments out for a little bit and how long? Also what would be a good daily shampoo in between nizoral, my hair gets greasy kinda.

nizoral dries your hair out, so it won't be greasy for long.

As for minoxidil, give finasteride a year first to see what it does. That way you know which med is doing what when you decide to add minoxidil for an even more potent regimen.

I can only agree with that. Just take a look what finasteride and what nizoral do for you. You can the eliminate treatments that do not work for you. There are some studies that suggest that minoxidil only works for about 30% of users. There is a big chance that it may actually not work for you and then you will be wasting money and time with applying it every day twice

Honestly patience is key when treating hair loss, let finasteride do its job for a year before you dedicate to twice a day applications and extra money for life.
