Is saw pametto good or bad for treating hairloss? Anyone seen results while on it. I took it when i first started treatment, then went off it, now have started back up with it. also, does a bad diet really have an affect on your hair. I've seen unhealthy-eating overweight guys shoving double cheeseburgers in their mouths continuously, with full heads of hair. What gives?

male pattern hairloss is genetic. you can eat dirt or lobster.. either way you'll get male pattern baldness because of your genes..

I've heard both good things and bad things about saw palmetto... do research before taking it.. not just here.. but search engines like google etc..

As general rule of thumb Saw Palmetto = bad news. I havent heard anyone have anything good to say about it, but theres plenty of claims that its a scam. Especially when you get companies charging £30 a month for it.

Wouldn't say its a scam its in rev, but yeap there is no hard evidence that it has any affect on hair loss.

I dont see how you could think it's a scam?? there isnt one company selling it saying it'll help hair loss..

that's like saying milk is a 'scam'

how? who's profiting?

Topically applied Saw Palmetto might be of benefit.

Orally ingested saw palmetto, at this time, we have no solid evidence backing its effectiveness.

Saw Palmetto

I've been using Saw Palmetto off and on for about 4 years. When I first started taking it I had a 100% increase in hair! - on my back, chest, arms legs - even my face. So it must have done something for me - although not sure what it did for the hair on my head as I was also applying Minoxidil. I was taking the 160mg capsules. I now take the 320mg capsules but don't really have any results from it - maybe Im immune to it now. SP is incredibly cheap - as low as $6 for 100 capsules so at least it wouldn't be a waste of money to try it.

I have a feeling that the saw palmetto berry supports finasteride in some way, when used both orally and topically. It isn't very expensive if you buy the tincture from a high street health food shop or herbalist.
I dyed my hair again yesterday (I last dyed it six weeks ago) to highlight the new growth, and I am amazed. Thousands of new vellus and small terminal hairs have emerged at the front, top and temples. There is some growth around the edges of the crown.
Some may respond better to saw palmetto than others, but if it is just a placebo, at least it is a healthy one.

No. American Crew shampoo contains copper peptides which are used under license from Procyte. Copper peptides do have HARD evidence about their use in treating hairloss.

Oh and Jeffsss there are LOADS of rip-off companies claiming oral Saw Palmetto helps of even "cures" hair loss. One product that shall remain nameless claims Saw Palmetto has a 88% success rate at treating hair loss. Wise up son, or the snake oil salesmen will have you for breakfast.
