Hello guys,

My hair has been getting thinner and thinner for a year now. I noticed it particularly at the hairline, because you could see through. I assumed male pattern baldness and didn't think anything at first.
Since a few weeks it has become much worse and the side of my head has these strange places with very light hair.
In these places the hair also looks very weird.
I have the guess that it is scalp folliculitis and not male pattern baldness or what do you think?

I am on the same boat my sides have been totally destroyed I have a scalp biopsy done and I have been on cefaclor antibiotics 500mg for 3 weeks and now it's a little bit better I used corticosteroids like mometasonfuroat and betamethasonvalerat but it was useless in my case, I think you should do immediately a scalp biopsy

Interesting, how is your crown and hairline.[/QUOTE

Any suggestions Calikid? Or are you just going to remain in "Aw" regarding his current hair situation?

Trying to figure out what situation hes in. But, only suggestion I have is from what Iv'e read on the forum: Take finasteride, assess a year later and add minoxidil for a boost. Stay consistent and take pictures. Other than that i don't have much, since I haven't had much success myself.

I've been on finasteride for 10 months, oral min for 4.5 months and I got my first prp injection a month ago and Im still losing hair from all over my head. (Most loss coming from sides above ears and nape). Only thing Im happy about it my my hairline which has maintained and is the exact same as it was 10 months ago. Crown is hard to tell if it has maintained, feels as though it thinned a little. Last two weeks my shedding decreased a good amount, averaging 40-60 hairs a day. Where as before it was 100 plus, but today its back to 100 plus.

I will admit that 6 months ago I thought I was going to be way worse off than I am now.
Just wondering, is Replicel & Trinoval about to release?

Oh yes and Im not 100% sure but when I started Oral min I started to shed more from the sides and back so be careful with minoxidil.
Same with anxious andy Oral minoxidil isn't good. Too systemic.

Question about oral minoxidil. Been in for 2 years 2.5 daily. Constant shed.

What should I expect if I stop? On Finasteride for almost 4 months, no slow down 300+ hairs each shower. Thin regrowth.

Could the minoxidil cause a shed more powerful than the Finasteride?

Get off oral minoxidil, switch to 2% topical Minoxidil with Finasteride.

I’m dreading canceling oral minoxidil. I started with topical and it was the worst mistake I’ve ever made. My hair changed in two weeks with all density gone. Switched to oral and still shed a ton but with some regrowth but the regrowth is nothing like the long black hair that fell out
