So ive been on Proscar for about a year now with ok results. My hair has thickened, not much regrowth i think ive just maintained what i have which is good.

My question is i have this tingling feeling in my scalp mostly in the temple areas where ive thinned out and whenever i massage these parts or press on them with my finger it feels really good but why is that?..Does this tingling feeling have anything to do with hairloss. As of right now i use a regular shampoo and a dandruff one but im planning on adding Nizoral this week..

Hope my question makes sense.

So far in my experience: itchy is bad - tingly is good. About as scientific as i am going to get after 37 hours of no sleep. Laters.....

When I first started using finasteride I was getting the same feeling. Almost like scalp goosebumps. I think its a good sign. I would get it maybe once or twice a day for about 5-10 min.
Dont get it any more though.

Are you talking about the somewhat euphoric relieving feeling you get when you massage your scalp? It feels like all kindsa tension is being released, and sorta tingles?

The tingly feeling i get in the temple areas doesnt occur very often but when it does i start feeling a wierd sensation on my scalp (not bad) and when i press on the area with my fingers or massage it ,it feels really good.Yes it is somewhat euphoric i would say it feels like a good stretch of the muscles or an itch being scratched.

Could the tingling sensation be due to inflammation in the scalp?
