Scalp peeling at hairline after starting generic finasteride

Was that normal? I started Finasteride (from Target) on Feb. 16 and noticed peeling at my hairline only. It has since gone away.

I read on here about others getting buildup from Minoxidil which I've never experienced. I apply Rogaine brand Minoxidil 5% daily to my hairline only.

I wash my hair everyday because you can definitely tell if it hasn't been washed. (Yup, I'm a greasy mofo.) Has anyone else experienced that after starting finasteride? I'm glad it stopped.

That is a known side effect of minoxidil. Its not the finasteride.

I've never had that in the five years I've been using minoxidil. It only started after starting the finasteride.
